Dear's coming home~

My experimental results showed inconsistency, despite the training i had been thru. Sigh.. so disappointed at myself. I guess i gotta redo the whole experiment next week. (usually the expt will need a whole week to get results.) Sigh... gotta buck up and do better. =)

A friend of mine talked to me on MSN a few days ago.. she's officially hitched and will be inviting me and dear to her wedding dinner next year. =) When asked "when's my turn?" I'll probably reply "thinking of that soon". Haha~~ Getting old now.. better get married before my thoughts go astray. wahaha~

It's friday~! Dear's coming home tmr. Also heard good news about my other ex-colleagues may be joining the pool in biopolis.. cant wait to feel excited for them!

Work is fun~!

Forgot to mentioned that my company bbq this weekend was cancelled due to poor response. Initially I was hesitating of whether to turn up after picking up dear from the airport, or just give it a miss (anti-social a bit).. I actually wanted to go but then I chose dear over work. haha~~ but now, I'm sorta glad that I heard the news that it was cancelled and postpone til further notice. hee~

Was asked to go for a steamboat session at Vieth's house tmr. great. Another gathering. I like it. haha~ So that I wont distant from my ex colleagues cum friends... then nana sent another email to me asking to go for another steamboat on a friday and clubbing on a sat.. seems like we're having fun eh. haha~

I wonder when dear will be going off to Taiwan for business again on Dec.. if the day falls on the day i have dinner or the clubbing day (which i told nana that i will go unless there's unforeseen circumstances).. then i have to give up the gathering session... hee~ Sorry ah~~ like "zhong se qing you" but then you guys have to think leh.. after kk changed job, he will be travelling frequently.. so have to accompany him to airport.. =)

Just hope that India's situation will be better.. coz I heard that dear needs to go there for business early next year too.

This morning when bro came back from work, he took a internet cable for me to link up my Vaio to the router. Finally i can conclude, I can be online for as long as I want to, without getting feared that the connection will break off. Apparently there's something wrong with my Vaios network card. Cannot sense my own router, but able to see the others (neighbours). Anyway, thanks bro.

Monday without blues.

I always managed to finish my work around this time, which is good. Kept having miss calls in the morning.. I dun have the habit of bringing handphone with me when I'm out in the lab doing expt.. So for those ppl who smsed me and I took a while to reply, you'll know that I'm in the lab and will only reply you during my breaks, or lunch time.

Speaking of lunch, I had free lunch today.. thanks. Company welcome treat (with combination of birthday treats) I'm into my 4th week and everything seems to be fine. I am enjoying myself, although busy.

Like i mentioned, I went "shopping" last Sat.. Bought refill compact foundation and a liquid foundation (trying out), Kose black mask, shampoo, deodorants etc. haha~! All cheap cheap~! I still have a shopping list to fulfill...like

• SK-II facial treatment essence
• a new pair of shoes
• new organiser for 2009 from Kinokuniya (only there sells nice jap organisers.)
• new handphone.. (maybe)
• Diamond earstuds (2 pairs, maybe)
• bag organiser...etc

Anyone wanting to get me Xmas present can choose from the list. wahaha.. those "maybes" will have to be in my list til I am prepared to spend the money.. afterall they are the "wants".

I'm looking forward to this weekend for dear to be back.. I really need a car wash before fetching dear from airport.. coz it's full of birdshits and stains.. (I tried cleaning off but they're really stubborn) I also wonder what kind of souveniors he will get for me (I hope he remembers... coz i told him to get me some souvenior, like fridge magnet or something, everytime he visits a new country or state)

Oh ya, will be getting my pay on the 25th. Not use to this.. coz my previous one paid us on the 1st... now like my savings are depleting.. and I still have credit card bills to clear.. Next month worse, i have an annual insurance premium to pay (excluding those monthly ones) Argh~! I want to earn more money~! PSB please bank in my money for the previous module soon!

Friday night.

My meeting yesterday with Ying and Kun is shifted to tonight. =) At least, I have something to do this friday night, instead of staying at home. Mum now has baby-chan to look after (they came back from Malaysia) so i dun have to worry about mum staying home alone.

Anyway, it's been my 3rd week into my new job. Everything seems ok.. everyday's busy.. I just tabulated a graph and showed my supervisor, he said that the expts that I ran is to see how well i can control my "techniques". Apparently compared to the first time, my technique of "seeding" has improved..my supervisor (a man with a few words - coz his english is not that good) sorta praised me for my improvement. Good. heh.

My colleague asked me to go blading. I agreed initially coz there are several pple going.. but now it has turn out to be only a couple and i.. 3 person like very strange leh.. so i ask her to rearrange another day where more pple can turn up. =)

So, I'll plan to go grocery shopping with mum tmr. =) Chinatown ba. Cheap. Shall look up at the street directory on "how to go there" heeh~

Also, i'm planning to finish watching another 6 espisodes of anime. =)

888th post

I'm learning new things at work almost everyday.. which is good. I'm still enjoying myself.. Getting independent. =)

Yesterday I went to visit Vieth.. She seems ok after the operation. Athough i knew that she doesnt like to drink those essence of chicken sorta thing, I still brought half a dozen for her.. (hoping that she can drink it coz from my sincerity) Anyway, it's my mum who insisted too.. My mum dotes on Vieth too.. although they only met for a few times. I think its the numerous times that vieth passed her baby items to us too =)

Yesterday night i saw a familiar card teared into pieces in the rubbish bin. I took it up and realised that mum threw away our birthday card to her.. many many years ago... I fixed it up and the cover read "Happy birthday and I love you"... inside wrote "we will listen to your advice and be a good children" Tears welled up.. I dunno why i'm so emo ytd.. I asked mum why she threw it away.. she replied saying that she thought its a very old piece of drawing paper.. she said she doesnt even realised wat's that about. I'm very sad..i brushed my teeth and went straight to bed.. and cried. I knew mum didnt do it on purpose.. but still i remember that was an expensive card, money from piggy bank combined with sis and bro, we got this card together.. memories. Words that i cant describe.. the only time when we shared $ to get a gift for mummy... I cried myself to sleep.. Arent I silly?

Today while i was walking towards the train station, i looked up to my kitchen window and saw mum standing there waving goodbye to me.. Again, it's been such a long time since i last saw this gesture.. i was touched.. tears welled up once again.. But i controlled myself...

I wonder why am i so emotional these 2 days.. I want to share this with dear dear but he is not around.. how i wish that time can pass quickly for dear to come back..

Mummy and family, I love you all so much. I treasure each and every moment for us to be together.

I got my phone back!

I got back my samsung phone today. =) They changed the LCD for me.. now the sliding motion is like.. a bit lose.. but anyway, i'm just glad that my phone is back with me now.. I love my phone~!

2 weeks of work had past.. everything seems to be more stable now.. a lot of things to be learnt.. and now i already got the hang of doing cell culture... Had a talk with my supervisor and he said that he will give me more responsibility when I become familiar with everything. haa~ Stress.. Coz i'm afraid that i may need to take some time to remember all those expt protocols by heart.

Dear's gone for a week.. 2 more weeks before he's back.. i wrote down a lot of movies that i wanted to watch.. so when he comes back, he will have to watch with me.. even if it is not showing on cinemas, there's always rental or.. streaming. haha~

Will be visiting Vieth tmr.. coz she had a spinal operation.. slipped disc i think. Hope she takes care of herself from now onwards.

Part time work at PSB has ended. Finally, but i hope its temporary. Got time to rest more at night. Awaiting payment only. No more tedious markings of those lab reports and quizzes.

Alrighty.. seems like I'm quite free today. Revert back the blogskins to the template ones provided by blogger. Simple and nice. Time do some cleaning up. Ciao~!

Sick.

Today's work is done. Fast and chop. It's good in a sense that, I'm not feeling well today... or rather, I've been feeling sick (fluctuating fever, cough and block nose) since last friday. Now I even got upper backache, and I cant look up to the ceiling/sky.

I asked my HR about taking mc.. she said she doesnt agree on workers taking MC during probation period, unless it's really serious. Gosh. I'll still go to the doctor after work today. I'd popped 4 panadols up til now and I'm still feverish. I even pasted "koyok" to ease my aching. Dear, dun worry about me if you read this post. I'll be fine soon. =)

Although finished work, having nothing to do is tough keeping awake, especially in my state.. hm... what shall i do?

Short update.

It's really nice to hear that dear has reached UK safe and sound. Just to update my dear, I did those things that you asked me to : returned your library book, collected your repaired air purifier and pumped 95 petrol.

I still have car washing.. but that leave til the next weekend.. hee~

2 weeks of work has over... i have learnt a lot of things... brushing up my calculations of cells density etc etc. haha~ Aseptic techniques is a must. very strict to prevent any contamination. 70% alcohol is now my best friend in lab. Whatever procedure i'm doing, I'll have it sprayed not only to my gloves, it's up till my forearms. =) Those allergic to alcohol cannot work in my lab.
There are still a lot of things to learn. Totally different from LNUS. I'm glad that I made a change.

Dear flew off to Birmingham yesterday for 3 weeks training.. for his new job. I dun feel sad all this while.. only when the time when he asked me to go off (not seeing him going into the departure hall) then i fill a tinge of sadness flowing through. I'm going to miss him.. and I am missing him right now.

I drove back alone from T2 to my house. LOng journey it seems, without dear around. I safely reached home, and parked my car. haha~ (some of my close friends know how i "feared" parking car)

he'll be back on 29 nov... anxiously waiting. take care over there dear. it's really cold over there.

I found a job that I dont really have the time to sit at my desk to surf net. ha~ not like now lah. Coz the expts for my training had ended today.. haha~ I still have to continue from my previous post.. but i dun have the time to do that at home. Even now I'm sneakily typing this post.. soft and gently on the keys.. coz my keyboard is the old type.. producing loud clicking sound whenever a key is pressed.. Sigh.. so sneaky til my hands are tired trying to keep those typing sound to a minimum. haha~

Work wise, everything's fine. Information overloaded I can say. It takes time for me to get familiarise with all the techniques.. Aseptic techniques..

This week is also the final week of class.. n i have a consecutive of 3 nights in a row. I do hope that the students will finish their expts fast so that i can quickly get home and rest. beauty sleep is impt for aging ladies. wahaha.

This weekend dear's flying off to UK. Will definitely miss him a lot..
