Dont really have the mood to work today. haha~~ Train's not squeezy, a few pple in the lab.. and today's my 3rd month anniversary in PLR! haha... Gotta run expt alone since partner is not here til next week. Scary leh.. have to recall back the things that I had been taught, and trying not to make mistakes (which I did in the end... I broke a corner of a gel.sigh.) I did real slow just in case i miss out anything.. calculations done and re-done to confirm.. Hope that the results in the afternoon turn out ok.

OK. time to go for lunch now.

New year post

Yesterday I brought Mum to watch Love matters at West Mall. Not exactly a nice show.. but at least, mum and I both laughed at the silly jokes from the movie. hee~ After that bro came to west mall, passed me baby-chan and went off to watch movie too.. so for us, we went to KFC and grab a light bite before heading home.

That night, RJ smsed me for a meetup.. and it's only upon meeting him then I knew that there's no other's turning up. haha~ so we sat at a pub, drank a beer, chat and update each other about our life and then off we went home. Short meeting only - 1.5 hours only. haha

Today went to paternal 2nd uncle house for house visiting.. only our family and another family turned up.. (out of the 9 kids that my grandma has) See.. they all so bo sim lo.. poor granny was so upset when we asked her what happened. Apparently brothers and sisters had some arguement.. plus no one wants to take care of our granny.. If not for my house being this small.. (the smallest among all the kids that my grandma has) I will want granny to stay at my house... I already lost my grandpa without interacting with him.. I dun want to just lose my grandma.

After that, we went to my maternal 3rd uncle house.. over there, almost everyone turned up (except the 1st uncle and 1st auntie's families).. It's somehow overcrowded.. coz 3rd uncle called his friends to come as well.. haha.. so we stayed for a while, chit chat a bit and left before his friends are here.

This year's ang bao "income" not that great.. haha~ 62 bucks only. Poor thing right? But its ok lah. I'm a grown up.. earned money.. and ang baos are just a kinda "yi(1) si(4)" haha~ heng heng can liao.

Lunch post

I ate instant noodles for today's lunch. Supplement with allswell plum drink. heh. My lab partner was somehow craving for cup noodles.. and plus, since there's not much pple going for lunch today (most of them took half day) so I ate cup noodles too.. ( i dun like to have lunch by my own)

It's CNY in just 2 days time... this year will be another boring day for our family. haha. Next week my partner's going on leave for the whole week.. so I have to work on my own (pray hard that I wont make mistakes. haha) Oh by the way, I'm being confirmed as perm staff in my company. 3 months passed... but it seems so long lo... it's like I've been here forever. haha~ (i know i'm exaggerating and I still have loads to learn and polish up) That means i can officially take leaves, take mcs, claim medical and dental fees.. etc etc. haha

Gim told me that my HR contacted her to come down for an interview.. hope she gets the job. =)

Happy Day

Done my presentation this morning.. and right now i am doing up a report for that. Yah, that's how thing's goes in my company. Anyway, talking about the presentation, I was really nervous this morning.. but luckily I'm able to finish the whole presentation without any hiccups.. I'm so glad that my Supervisor went through with me thoroughly before the presentation to help me understand what I am presenting.. thanks thanks. It's only the Q&A part, I need to ask my supervisor to answer for me. hehe~ and after my presentation, I was actually praised by my supervisor and GM.. "good presentation" is what they said =) hee~ encouragement is good.. although it's just a simple 2 words from the japanese bosses. Who says asians are stingy with compliments? I guess only my previous company are. haha

There's no expts in the lab today as well.. so i have all the time to complete my report - which is to be handed in by the end of today

Talking about end of today, i'm going town after work to get birthday gift for dear's mum. =) Let's see if there's any clothes that can catch my eyes.. if not, I dun think i'll have any new clothes for this coming chinese new year.. which i dun really mind too.. (just get some clothes that I have only worn once to be my new year clothes should be fine.) hehee

Presentation

I dun have any lab work today.. so here i am sitting in the office with those admin staff. My lab partner is on MC today.

Although i dont have any lab to do, I do have a presentation tmr. My supervisor explained to me yesterday til 5.45pm about the presentation contents.. and i only got the slides this morning.. and he said he wants me to get ready (do some minor corrections on the slides) and present to him first at 11am.. which is 10mins later. My first presentation leh.. scary lo.. although i do understand what I'm going to present.. but still presenting to so many pple takes courage.
Ok.. time to go look through the slides one more time.

Gold Class experience

I know i'm a mountain turtle... but i just want to say.. I enjoyed myself at Gold Class cinema~! haha~~ The seats are so so comfy.. with a blanket provided.. food and drinks will be served in glass and plates (if you preordered them). The seats are electronically adjustable to suit your comfort level.. It's just like sitting in first class cabin.. (which I dont have the chance to experience it also.) I want to go there again~! Dear said that he doesnt really liked it.. first, the screen is normal sized..(or to him, it's small) and second, his legs are too long so even if his feet were elevated, it's somehow dangling.. so not exactly comfortable to him.. Or course, I said to give Gold class another chance by going to Vivo's next time. =)

I had a disturb sleep yesterday. I received 8 phone calls every 20 mins from 12.50am to 2.30am. Damn. The number was familiar. It was my ex-company. I thought Gim called me from the office..but I simply just reject and let it miss-called. I had the choice to off my phone.. but i was afraid that my alarm will be affected. Argh~! I think hard that morning wondering whose extension number it was from.. then i recalled. the SENSAPHONE~! Vic must had forgotten or changed without saving when I left the company lo.. there goes my peaceful sleep... Anyway, I smsed vic this morning as well as called back the sensaphone to see if there's anything serious happened to the freezers.. guess that Vic has to face the music liao.. LH will never let this matter pass lo. haha.. *Bless the CRTs.*

Will be catching Red Cliffe 2 at Gold class this sunday. Thanks to Vieth, my birthday present on 2008. =) Yoo hoo~! Will need to do some shopping on Sat. =)

Saw in facebook my former disney colleagues had a new added family member today. congratulations~!

I finally completed my PS2 game.. considering the mandatory side quests are longer than the main story line... haha~ Tough boss fight.. and lucky I am able to defeat with just one go. haha~

Tmr's sunday. One more day before going back to work. New year new start. I need to recover from my illness fast. I dun want to start work with a weak, sickly body.. I want a fresh start. I know 2009 will be a good year for me... I have 7 friends getting married this year... 4 are my current colleagues.. 2 ex-colleagues, and 1 best friend. hee~ weddings are all around me.. and i know pple will start asking, "when's your turn".. my answer will still be the same " see first lah" let nature takes its course. Once all my colleagues got married, I will be the only single status in my unit.. haha.. thats a rare one... I shall maintain status quo ba.. I like to be unique. wahaha

Saw the bangkok news recently.. dunno whether my buddy RJ was there or not.. he cant be so lucky to went clubbing there right? *touchwood* However, I smsed him twice and he still haven get back to me.. i'm not sure whether he finds it expensive to reply from overseas, or he simply left his mobile in SG.. either way, I hope that he sees my message and reply me...

Dear should be on his way back to Penang.. to attend his buddy's wedding. =) Talking about wedding, I have a best friend wedding on 22.02.09... and I need to be her "sisters"~~! Never did I know that my best friend's wedding is fixed earlier than WY's. Hee~~ Need to look through and research on the games and "pranks" to be done to the bridegroom and his brothers.. muahahaa..

Been sick on and off these 2 weeks.. *sigh* fever on and off, blocked nose, sore joints, dry cough and wat make it worse, diarrhoea... 2009 may not be a good year for me.. need to go pray pray and spray some holy water liao.

Brought back the journals from office.. thinking of reading them and making notes... but the weak, sickly me just couldnt bring myself to read those small prints... I know I am searching for excuses.... I'll do it before returning to work on next monday.
