Toilet bowls talk in the morning

Me : I was thinking about it when I was wide awake after a cough at 3.40am and couldnt get back to sleep til 5am.

K: What is it about?

Me: I dun think our future house needs 抽风机 in the toilet..

K: Well, even if I want it, I'm not sure whether HDB allows it.

Me: Then I hope they dun allow.

K: why?

Me: How long are you going to stay in the toilet after your business? You just have to air it.

K: reasons not enough

Me: Then it's a waste to electricity, it's not nice to see, it has "holes" and rain will splatter in

K: Your reasons are not supported.

Me: hmph! Then I want a squat toilet bowl rather a sitting one

K: Ok, let's have our own toilet then. At least I compromised

Me: No! I'm just joking. I can do my business anywhere.. you should use a squat one.

K: Why?

Me: Coz you squat on sitting ones, while there are squats one available

Sweet lil' Babies.

Today I went to visit sis's baby. He's small sized, cute little baby. As I introduced before, he's baby Nathan. =)

Road to recovery

Yesterday I went to Ma Kuang - the TCM for the treatment of my persistent cough... The doctor talked to me in a gentle tone, described to me the symptoms of my cough and asked if it was like this or that (usually its the other way round for western docs - you tell him the illness, he gives you the pills). Then she concluded that my cough wasnt really a cough, its due to some backflow of mucus into nasal cavity causing inflammation, and then irritation.. That's why I will cough more severely when I lie down (to sleep). She said that she had to cure the nose rather than the cough, coz once the nose is ok, I will stop coughing. She gave me a prescription for 7 days and it cost $65.90! Yes, it definitely more expensive than what I usually gets.. but since I want to get better and its claimable, I wont complain. heh.

So after I got home from dinner, I immediately took the medicine... yeah, it's real hard to swallow. Imagine those bitter powder (30grams) dissolve in 50mL of warm water and drink it.. yucks! The attendant there gave me a pack of sourplum pills.. to get rid of the aftertaste... but it doesnt really work that well seriously.

AND, after the dose, although i'm still having the cough, the frequency during the night got lesser.. and hence, my parents (and I) had a better night rest (before that, dad scolded me in the morning for coughing too loud during the night- after enduring for 3 weeks! - thats why i turned to TCM). haha.

2nd dose this morning.. and indeed, my cough is getting lesser~! Woohoo~! I think the medicine is really working.. finally! I look forward to having a complete recovery soon!

What an eventful holiday~!

What a terrible cough I'm having. It's always haunting me at night.. I nearly finished the medicine that I had.. I guess those arent working for me. I may need to switch to chinese Sinseh. Eu Yan Seng or Ma kwang? hm... the latter is nearer to me.

Yesterday was an eventful day. Started off with Na, Vi, SC and I went to Himawari Jap restaurant for a-lar-carte buffet. It's reeeaaal nice, with quite a number of varieties. I will definitely return. =) however, I had the runs in the late evening... not sure if it's due to the food? heh. But it's too delicious to get suspicious about it. haha.

Then Yingz called me up and wanted to catch a movie - Time Traveler's wife, with Lewis, just before he go Cambodia for 2 weeks for voluntery work. haha~! Take care buddy! Oh, the show is so so only.. not that touching as I thought it would be.

I rushed home after that, to eat dinner with mum... and sis was already in the labour ward monitoring... so I was thinking of visiting her when she gave birth.. but I waited and waited.... and the baby only popped out at 8.46pm. hehe. Sis then called and said to visit her after she discharge, coz of the 2 visitors per time restriction is very inconvenience. So~! the baby weighs 2.95kg, 47cm long with 32cm head cir. =) His name is Nathan~! Chinese name had to go for some calculations. =)

Hm.. yesterday my hp also went crazy.. all of the sudden, it felt really hot - like its gonna explode any moment.. then the battery got discharged.. I was thinking.. I just charged yesterday~! Anyway, seeing that my phone reflected no reception, I off and on it... and then msgs from 7pm onwards came rushing in. Missed a lot of msgs! Right now, the phone seems to be ok.. Let's hope it doesnt menopause again. haha

Yixin and I went shopping~!

Since I was free this afternoon, I decided to bring Yixin out to shop for her early bday gift. Yes, just me and her. hee. I won't be in Singapore on her bday, coz that week I'll be in Japan with dear. The plan is to go Nagoya (kk's biz trip while I explore individually during the day), Kyoto and Osaka. =) Anyway, once we reached IMM, she wanted to sit with big bird..

We walked around IMM for a while, got her present and then she saw Barney calling out to her with big arms.. and hence she decided to take a picture with him...

Just before we go, she saw this cute little boy (bob the builder) just next to Barney.. and again, she wanted to pose with him.

She's happy to have her new bday present - disney princess bag and a light up Ariel pen, which she was holding. =) I'm happy too.

One step closer

OK,

Bintan's trip (company retreat) is over. 2 days 1 night over the weekend. Overall it's fun like our telematches and those card games we had, the roulette thingy, phototaking, and hanging around cute little Eunice. =) It will be perfect if the restaurants are installed with air condition... I warn u, its hot like a sauna! You are literally eating (the buffet) and sweating at the same time!

Next, mum's birthday was on Sunday, celebrated with the kids and completed with a full body scrub plus massage on the following day. She totally enjoyed the process and I'm happy to see her happy. =) Probably I shall bring her to pamper herself once in a while.

Guess most of my loyal blog readers know that I am in search of a nest for KK and I.. so after all those hassle of running here and there, meeting up with agents, getting those exorbitant COV etc, we are back to the square one.. thats what KK said - its our affinity with the house... Still remember i mentioned that KK went to thoroughly survey a house on 16 level?.. ya, we will be getting that house. We had signed the option to purchase yesterday, and next thursday we will be meeting up again to "exercise" it.. which means to submit documents to HDB for our first appt... then there's this 2nd appt... so here and there - we will probably be getting the house keys in late feb next year...and from there, we still need to renovate and things like that. Plus, I have to produce marriage cert within 6 months upon getting the keys. A lot of things to be done... 想了就怕。

Anyway, it's a nice start.

Pre-bday gift.

For the first time, Mum had a relaxed day at Nailxpert... Mum didnt go for manicure and pedicure session before.. so I brought her there to enjoy, her first pre bday treatment. As you can see, mum's curious with the bubbling waterbath =)

*yes, the lady next to mum is Vieth. Such a coincidence~!

While mum was doing her treatment on her legs and paraffin on her hands, I was doing spa manicure and pedicure as well.. so no photographs to show how happy mum was~! She liked the massages.

Ok, there she was, blow drying her fingernails and toenails... I was seated at the other corner to dry my nails.. that explained the distance between us..

We then went to search around for slippers, coz she didnt want to "spoil" the paint... bought that at carrefour for 7.90 only~! cheap~!

Then we rested by going to the foodcourt, sharing a cuppa coffee before dinner, and enjoying leftovers of cookies from subway lunch.

I guess mum really enjoyed her "first in her life" manicure/pedicure treatment~! Will bring her there once in a while then.. I like to see mum being happy. =)

In the end, dear came to meet us for dinner and some grocery shopping, after we travelled down to chinatown to get gold chain for sis's next baby. =) cute car~!

Lethargic

I'm real tired today. Yesterday, or rather today morning around 2.58am, we all woke up with the sudden shouting of bro to ask my niece to stop crying. I dun know what really happened. Only bits and pieces of information fed to me this morning. All I know was shouting, hiting, crying going on outside my room. Dad was frustrated and he went downstairs (which is void deck) to sleep. Mum was up to help with the crying nieces and my SIL. The crazy brother - was at his computer, playing game. I tossed and turned, hoping to sleep.. but my sore throat acted up and my nose became blocked making me difficult to breath. Bo bianz, I got up and took a drowsy medicine - that helped me to go back to sleep around 3.45am..

Today I woke up feeling better - but head still heavy.. no mood, no energy - tough to focus. So here I am, sitting in front of the pc, populating result, bloggin, and sipping ice coffee. it makes me wonder - should I have kids of my own next time?

Will blog about my mum's prelude bday treat next.. unless something else pops up and I have to blog about it. haha

See this picture. Dun you think it looked like an egg yolk? Well, actually, he (baby inside) is formed from an egg. Oh, not to forget, sperm. Fingers there probably represent the beak of a chick. I drew eyes for him. heh. Nice right?

Anyway, the next picture showed my niece poo-pooing. Yeah, in the doorway between her room and ours, cute eh? Hee... gone were the days where we can use this small little bucket to do our business. heh. Oh, did I mention that the bucket that we used are now passed down for my niece? Not this red one, it's the other bigger one - orange color. (Probably post it up the next round). Cool eh? its 20 over years!



Ok.. the last pic. My little niece who likes to pose as princess or call herself princess from the disney cartoons was actually a witch in disguise probably. heh. I found the pack of lizards that she insisted her dad to buy for her..... and they seems to be planning for their next move. i have to be careful!



I wonder what my niece used to make those lizards listen to her... I think its the poo-poo. ;p

Things get especially eerie when it comes to the 7th month. Yesterday I went Marina square to catch Final destination 4.. so as usual, before the show, I will visit the ladies to empty my bladder.. So i chose the toilet at the cinema area.. before I even pushed open the door, I already anticipated that something will scare me.. so i slowly opened (to reduce the impact of being "scared") and indeed, there were posters of bloody woman (from the movie blood ties) all over the toilet mirrors! To make things worse, there's not even a single human being in the toilet. I hesitated for 2 seconds but decided to go ahead and wee (thinking of the hassle of going to the other toilets).... Anyway, while i was releasing I was thinking of not to wash my hand! But too bad I had to coz I touched a bit of you-know-what while wiping.. so i walked to the mirror, eyes kept at the flowing water while having a feeling that the poster woman were all staring at me.. I quickly turned back to exit and felt an immediate cold chill down my spine~! I literally ran out of the toilet and KK was there asking - what happened?

I'm really a scaredy cat when it comes to spritual thingy... but not gore and violence. Anyway, the movie isnt that great afterall. 1 popcorn rating.
