Short post

Resting at home on another Sunday.

Yesterday went to JB's Grand Paragon hotel to attend a wedding dinner... but before that, we went to 2 furniture shops to see if there's any furniture we can get for our house. Too bad, the items there didnt catch our eyes. I think this year those bling bling crystals embedded into sofas and bedframes and even dining tables and chairs are in trend now.. Gives you a "wow" feeling, but it's not practical at all. Furthermore, it's expensive.

I guess many had seen my ROM pics uploaded in FB. It was a nice and enjoyable event. Thank you all for sharing our joy. Time flies and it will be April soon. I'm looking forward to the photoshoot as well as deciding on which interior designing company to choose.

Til then, time to watch anime! haha

Ah! Rain! I love looking at the rain from the window.. Dear will be caught in the rain. I wonder where he'll go for his breakfast then. I have my Nutella spread bread and cheese bread done by my mum this morning. =)

Watch Nodame Cantabile movie yesterday. Even though I had just completed watching the first season of the anime on Sunday, there were a few parts that I'm not too sure about. I guess dear will be bored, esp those parts where the orchestra was doing symphonies. hee. Dear is not that kind of person to listen to classical music.

I just started watching Nodame season 2, first episode yesterday. =) Sweet.

Ok, last but not least, I'll be receiving the DVD of my ROM photos tonight. So excited! Hee. Will be uploading the pics asap!

Sunday

Time for me to get a good rest at home. Been real busy this week. I guess my ID is more or less confirmed... coz we told her that we had a tight budget, and hence requested her to see if the price can adjust a little bit lesser than the quoted.

Received an sms from TK - our photographer for ROM. We'll be meeting him next Tues.... alas! Hee. Been waiting for the photos for quite some time already... My friends and family are waiting to see them!

Next week will have more meet ups, company sports event and dear's friend wedding in JB.... Busy again!

Totally Exhausted.

I dun have time to rest since my ROM... We went Penang to look for restaurant/hotel for wedding dinner in Dec - which later on we decided on restaurant... Anyway, at least that's done.

Immediately after we came back, we went to source for interior designing for our nest... Weiken, Northwest, going through renotalk forums etc.. I started to feel tired and realised that this is not easy like we thought it would be... money is one impt factor.

Then my gown fitting.... Luckily my gown fitting is a one time event.... although my heart did sway when my colleagues commented on my outdoor dress doesnt suit me.... I stick on to it, coz basically one thing - I AM TIRED. I still have lots of other things in my mind.. and since dear and sis had gave me assurance that it does look ok.. I guess it wont turn out to be ugly esp with makeup on. =)

So now, back to ID, I'm practically surfing renotalk forum to see feedbacks for IDs and ideas to build our nest everyday. IF we have the $$$, I guess everything will be a breeze.. but the fact is, we dun. Our cash was dumped into the COV just few months ago.. SIGH. Headache. I have a lot of wants for my new house.. to make it nice nice like everyone else, but $$ is restricting me to the extend that I have to accept things that I dun like nor dislike. Not to forget, now we are going to stay together as husband and wife, it's not that easy to make both agreeable to a single thing. Conflicts are bound to be there.. but then we try our best to compromise. Come to think of it, I didnt request for anything except I want the kitchen table top to be longer than 10ft. That's all. though you may say that I dun cook that often, if i dun have a kitchen that I like, I think I dun even bother to try to cook anyway.

Loads of things are going through my mind every now and then... photoshoot next month and wedding banquet and furnitures etc etc. I'm exhausted. Really.

Gown Fitting

Went gown fitting today. I really appreciate my sis, who happened to take half day leave, to accompany me for the fitting. I cant imagine if there's only KK around. Quite a number of gowns I tried... and luckily there was second opinion everytime I tried on a piece. Took some pictures secretly as well.. and it's mostly in my sis's phone. Asked her to send to me asap, so that I can show to my friends. haha.

I chose 2 for actual day (day and evening) and 2 for outdoor (day and evening). One more will be the standard qua. I really had a hard time deciding the outdoor evening gown.. coz the choices were really limited... so I chose one that I can accept, and the most votes. hee. I was quite surprised that I look good in red evening gown. RED. haha. Maybe a bit bright lah... like ang bao... but still, I like it compared to the rest. hee.

I enjoyed gown fitting today. hee. had fun laughing and commenting and posing. I got a good and patient coordinator. =)

It's nice to be back home.. =)

The main aim for this Penang trip is done - source for hotel/restaurant to hold our dinner. It's really tiring travelling here and there... in the end, we settled for a restaurant.. the date will be on 21 Nov, just few weeks after our wedding dinner in Singapore.

Have to start hunting for interior design from tmr onwards. Tradehub21 first!

My Monday in Penang..

Been to several places to eat in Penang since yesterday... and we will be going for more. As my in-laws are both retirees and have quite a lot of time to spare, they dun mind the journey travelled for GOOD food. Hehee. Tried 2 kinds of Ba ku teh over here.. both were good, despite I dun usually take pork. hee. Went to Jusco to buy my daily necessities, since we dun have a check in luggage (for sharps and liquids).. I can tell you.. the face shop here is way cheaper than Singapore! Haha. I bought a bottle of shampoo and conditioner and both have 30% off! I bought a sun block from there as well... Hee. Cheap leh! But I'm not going to stock up and bring over back to Sg, coz we didnt opt for check in luggage when we return as well.. So all my things bought, will be left here for next time usage. Haha. Dear was mentioning.. with those items I bought and left here, I will like to come Penang more often.

This morning my in-laws actually drove us to see a plot of land they bought... so in future (i dunno how long.. coz they toook verrrry long to get houses built) they may be living there... or, sell away the plot of land when it has profits. haha

OK, time to stop here. I brought a camera, but didnt take any pics AT ALL.. haha. nothing interesting to take. So dun bother liao. hehe. Anyway, will be going out for more eating now. Tata~!

I saw some of the uploads by my friends on my ROM. Thank you for letting me have a glimspe of the pictures, coz my photographer will need 3 weeks to process them, ensuring they are nice before he can pass it to us. hehe.

I really love the decoration. Purple and white roses. =) Too bad I don't really have the time to appreciate the decoration and at the end of everything, the flower petals on the floor were smashed utterly... and the chairs were shifted. Anyway, from the pictures, I can see that Jeanie did a really good job! Thank you so much!

Brain's not working well today...

Oh well, there's nothing much to do in the afternoon today. Basically, I'm slacking.

It's mid week. This Sat dear will be coming back from UK and then we will attend a wedding dinner together, before heading to Penang for a few days - to source for our wedding dinner in Penang. Then I'll go for my gown fitting for photoshoot next Friday too. Busy busy busy!

28 Feb 2010 - Our ROM

Yesterday was my ROM ceremony. I want to say a million thanks to those who came to attend this impt occasion of us. Thanks for all the gifts, ang baos and well wishes, thanks for taking time to attend this ceremony, thanks for standing around coz it's only a cocktail reception, thanks for praising me being pretty (haha!), thanks for getting ready to be invited again for my wedding dinner in Oct, thanks thank thanks~!

On the other hand, I will like to say sorry for those who were not in the invited list for my ROM, coz it's really budgeted and we really had a hard time deciding who to be invited!! Not to worry, I already had you friends in my guest list for the BIG one - wedding dinner!

Let me talk about yesterday... Reached Mount Faber around 9.45am, hanged around and dear went off to fetch his parents from Hotel.. so I started my makeup and hairdo once Sandy (from Dressmeup) came... subsequently, the photographer and my venue decorator came. =) Everything more or less went smoothly, just that my flower girls were all stun to see so many pple clapping hands, welcoming us while its time for a small march in. In the end, we chose to walk without the girls. haha! But it's really a funny scene!

It's relieved to hear that the food was not bad, coz we tasted before the chef's cooking... and we were quite disappointed... but when it turned out to be nice, we were glad!

Friends started to leave around 2 plus.. and we went ahead to have some outdoor shoots before wrapping up.. IT'S SO HOT!! The temperature was killing us and we still need to smile and act natural!! Haha! The photographer kept commenting - you two are too stiff! In the end, we didnt take much and call it for the day...

Dear sent me back home and off he went to return the vest and have dinner with his parents.. before heading for the biz trip for a week at night.. so i guess, our ROM is really just a ceremony.. haha!

And I have to return my dress today myself! (yeah, the vest and the dress were rented from different places. haha)
