Received a call from Jo-ann just now... she reminded me about Pingz birthday.. ya.. i remembered.. just that she's in Adelaide now.. shifted her house recently too.. so i guess i'll send her a card...(in case the present get lost halfway) maybe she can claim her gift back when she is back.. hehee~

Heard from my colleague that my manager is looking for me when i went to do some checking on equipments... i went to look for him in his office and he's not there.. hahaa~~ anyway, must be regarding bout the newsletter...argh.... seemed to get stuck there when the co-editor is not around... she's still owe me articles... but anyways, cant blame her.. she got loads and loads of stuffs to do.. somemore she is having her exams now i think. thats why she is on leave...

oh ya kunz, you are going to some country for training in 2 weeks time right? Take care over there leh. dun get eaten by the crocz over there~~ hehee... have fun with those bugs and strange animals when you are in the jungle huh..

Animes are great..and i think most of the animes have give me a kind of strength - to persevere and not to give up. I draw strength when watching animes.. i feel that if they can do it, i can too.. nothing is impossible.. maybe you may think that i am stupid to feel this way. but thats true.. animes are drawn by humans.. so of course, it reflects the way humans think. whatever that cannot achieve in real life are all achieve inside the story.. isnt that great?

Each character's perserverance, will and spirit greatly touches me.. different stories touches me in different ways.. the will to protect the most important thing in my life, the strength and courage that i can gain from words of friends, the power i can get from training (mentally and physically).. etc

To me, i think that i am living in the world of fantasy....

Just got up from a nap.. today's a lazy day.. typing and munching my pocky chocolate.. hahaa~~ why cant i get any fatter... just a bit will do.. my face especially.. hehehe~~


Nobody's at home now... brother working, sis went out to study for her exam.. mum went out with some aunties and dad just came out for a sec and then off again.. I have all the room to myself.. turning on the music volume to full blast.. hahaa~~~

Well.. a lazy afternoon always make me think of him... thanks everyone for encouraging me not to give up.. =)

Think me going to change this blog design soon... maybe tomolo?! hehee~~ til then!

Ah Na and Rachelle sure have a good time in shopping yesterday... Ah na bought 2 pair of shoes.. m)phosis and u.r.s. Great singapore sale - a good time for shoppers.. I didnt get anything.. because i dun think i need any extra clothes or shoes or whatever... somemore i just got a camera.. so gotta spend lesser.. hehee~~

Vi is on MC again today.. told her not to go to that paintball thingy but she insisted.. eat fried food and cold drinks yesterday too.. thats why she is sick again. you gotta take care leh~~ coz days without you are so quiet.. so feeling a bit uneasy. hahaa~~

Just had my lunch...so full right now.. =0) Today we are all going back an hour earlier.. yeah~~ coz this week is the family week and the management allows us to go back an hour earlier to have dinner with our family =) Ya.. Mum is coming back from the cruise today. hope that she had fun..

Its weekend once again.. time flies this week.. because of the paintball, the vesak holiday thingy.. hehee~ great. but i wonder what can i do over the weekends? same old routine for me i think. anyway, have fun guys!!

Haha... later i am going off early... going taka... probably got the chance to go and see my brother doing the disney show... and then to take pictures with the characters on stage... =) I'm not too sure what are the characters this time... didnt bother to ask bro about it also.. because i wanted to see it for myself..

*yawnz* i remembered something.. saw Regina (my primary cum secondary friend) at suntec yesterday... i think she was with her Bf... wat can i say.. big-sized? or did i see it correctly? hahaa...We also met Yingru and her classmate... and ya he was big-sized too.. how come those guys that i met yesterday were all big-sized (including Jon)? thats funny~~ Oh ya, the uncle that sold me the camera thought that Jon was my bf... haha~~ and we both are like.. saying huh? "No lah"! Jon got a Gf now.. and i got my dreamboy so there's no chance we can be together.. we are really good friends.. =)
hm... went to paintball last tuesday and got 2 bruises... well quite bad actually... its still painful now... =( Well..my thighs are really tired... especially when i got up from a seat or climbing/ walking the stairs... =( dun feel like coming to work.. but no choice... *sigh*

Anyways, went out with Jonathan yesterday to watch shrek 2... (I wonder why he wanted to watch that.. hehee~~) before that we went to Kunshin-bo to have a buffet lunch.. yum yum.. the price is reasonable and the food is nice... so i recommend that.. its at suntec city, opposite the cinema... After that Jonathan showed me his camera with Mp3 function... wow... great.."i feel like getting one" i said to him.. then he brought me to the place he got his... 460 bucks... ok lah... a bit ex i know... but thats the price of the fusion of a digicam and a mp3 player... 2 mega pixel.. i know thats lousy... but... i like the model.. hehee~~ (if you divide the price into 2, i can actually get an individual Mp3 player for 200 plus and a 2 megapixel cam for 200 plus.. still the same...)

Hm... feeling tired as usual.. i think i am tired of this job liao.. there's nothing much left for me to stay here.. only friends.. but we can still keep in contact if i am not here right? i think i dun have a chance to go local uni liao.. so now i am going to look for another job.. its time for me to move on, to learn new things... i will source the newspapers every saturday now... give me some luck!! some of my friends will think that i am a bit stupid to leave this high pay job.. ya i understand... but thats personal interest ya? someone else out there may be looking for my kind of job.. and i am giving that somebody a chance if i leave this place... i dun wanna hog on to this job.... hehee~~

Dun feel like going to the paintball later.. although i already brought the gear here... just dun have the right "feeling" to it.. close friends are not in the same group... that stupid randomization table the male chauvinist pig did(did i spell it right?) didnt look random to me at all...

Tomolo is public holiday... vesak day.. will not be going anywhere i think...stay at home to watch tv loh... and also to continue my Naruto..mum will be going on a cruise with aunt and her family...so good.. 3 days 2 nights... everybody is going on holiday... like my sis just came back and bought me a nike sling bag.. then ying ying is going to Hong Kong... so good...

Haruki Murakami: On seeing the 100% perfect girl one beautiful April morning
One beautiful April morning, on a narrow side street in Tokyo's fashionable Harujuku neighborhood, I walked past the 100% perfect girl.

Tell you the truth, she's not that good-looking. She doesn't stand out in any way. Her clothes are nothing special. The back of her hair is still bent out of shape from sleep. She isn't young, either - must be near thirty, not even close to a "girl," properly speaking. But still, I know from fifty yards away: She's the 100% perfect girl for me. The moment I see her, there's a rumbling in my chest, and my mouth is as dry as a desert.

Maybe you have your own particular favorite type of girl - one with slim ankles, say, or big eyes, or graceful fingers, or you're drawn for no good reason to girls who take their time with every meal. I have my own preferences, of course. Sometimes in a restaurant I'll catch myself staring at the girl at the next table to mine because I like the shape of her nose.

But no one can insist that his 100% perfect girl correspond to some preconceived type. Much as I like noses, I can't recall the shape of hers - or even if she had one. All I can remember for sure is that she was no great beauty. It's weird.

"Yesterday on the street I passed the 100% girl," I tell someone.

"Yeah?" he says. "Good-looking?"

"Not really."

"Your favorite type, then?"

"I don't know. I can't seem to remember anything about her - the shape of her eyes or the size of her breasts."

"Strange."

"Yeah. Strange."

"So anyhow," he says, already bored, "what did you do? Talk to her? Follow her?"

"Nah. Just passed her on the street."

She's walking east to west, and I west to east. It's a really nice April morning.

Wish I could talk to her. Half an hour would be plenty: just ask her about herself, tell her about myself, and - what I'd really like to do - explain to her the complexities of fate that have led to our passing each other on a side street in Harajuku on a beautiful April morning in 1981. This was something sure to be crammed full of warm secrets, like an antique clock build when peace filled the world.

After talking, we'd have lunch somewhere, maybe see a Woody Allen movie, stop by a hotel bar for cocktails. With any kind of luck, we might end up in bed.

Potentiality knocks on the door of my heart.

Now the distance between us has narrowed to fifteen yards.

How can I approach her? What should I say?

"Good morning, miss. Do you think you could spare half an hour for a little conversation?"

Ridiculous. I'd sound like an insurance salesman.

"Pardon me, but would you happen to know if there is an all-night cleaners in the neighborhood?"

No, this is just as ridiculous. I'm not carrying any laundry, for one thing. Who's going to buy a line like that?

Maybe the simple truth would do. "Good morning. You are the 100% perfect girl for me."

No, she wouldn't believe it. Or even if she did, she might not want to talk to me. Sorry, she could say, I might be the 100% perfect girl for you, but you're not the 100% boy for me. It could happen. And if I found myself in that situation, I'd probably go to pieces. I'd never recover from the shock. I'm thirty-two, and that's what growing older is all about.

We pass in front of a flower shop. A small, warm air mass touches my skin. The asphalt is damp, and I catch the scent of roses. I can't bring myself to speak to her. She wears a white sweater, and in her right hand she holds a crisp white envelope lacking only a stamp. So: She's written somebody a letter, maybe spent the whole night writing, to judge from the sleepy look in her eyes. The envelope could contain every secret she's ever had.

I take a few more strides and turn: She's lost in the crowd.

Now, of course, I know exactly what I should have said to her. It would have been a long speech, though, far too long for me to have delivered it properly. The ideas I come up with are never very practical.

Oh, well. It would have started "Once upon a time" and ended "A sad story, don't you think?"


Once upon a time, there lived a boy and a girl. The boy was eighteen and the girl sixteen. He was not unusually handsome, and she was not especially beautiful. They were just an ordinary lonely boy and an ordinary lonely girl, like all the others. But they believed with their whole hearts that somewhere in the world there lived the 100% perfect boy and the 100% perfect girl for them. Yes, they believed in a miracle. And that miracle actually happened.

One day the two came upon each other on the corner of a street.

"This is amazing," he said. "I've been looking for you all my life. You may not believe this, but you're the 100% perfect girl for me."

"And you," she said to him, "are the 100% perfect boy for me, exactly as I'd pictured you in every detail. It's like a dream."

They sat on a park bench, held hands, and told each other their stories hour after hour. They were not lonely anymore. They had found and been found by their 100% perfect other. What a wonderful thing it is to find and be found by your 100% perfect other. It's a miracle, a cosmic miracle.

As they sat and talked, however, a tiny, tiny sliver of doubt took root in their hearts: Was it really all right for one's dreams to come true so easily?

And so, when there came a momentary lull in their conversation, the boy said to the girl, "Let's test ourselves - just once. If we really are each other's 100% perfect lovers, then sometime, somewhere, we will meet again without fail. And when that happens, and we know that we are the 100% perfect ones, we'll marry then and there. What do you think?"

"Yes," she said, "that is exactly what we should do."

And so they parted, she to the east, and he to the west.

The test they had agreed upon, however, was utterly unnecessary. They should never have undertaken it, because they really and truly were each other's 100% perfect lovers, and it was a miracle that they had ever met. But it was impossible for them to know this, young as they were. The cold, indifferent waves of fate proceeded to toss them unmercifully.

One winter, both the boy and the girl came down with the season's terrible inluenza, and after drifting for weeks between life and death they lost all memory of their earlier years. When they awoke, their heads were as empty as the young D. H. Lawrence's piggy bank.

They were two bright, determined young people, however, and through their unremitting efforts they were able to acquire once again the knowledge and feeling that qualified them to return as full-fledged members of society. Heaven be praised, they became truly upstanding citizens who knew how to transfer from one subway line to another, who were fully capable of sending a special-delivery letter at the post office. Indeed, they even experienced love again, sometimes as much as 75% or even 85% love.

Time passed with shocking swiftness, and soon the boy was thirty-two, the girl thirty.

One beautiful April morning, in search of a cup of coffee to start the day, the boy was walking from west to east, while the girl, intending to send a special-delivery letter, was walking from east to west, but along the same narrow street in the Harajuku neighborhood of Tokyo. They passed each other in the very center of the street. The faintest gleam of their lost memories glimmered for the briefest moment in their hearts. Each felt a rumbling in their chest. And they knew:

She is the 100% perfect girl for me.

He is the 100% perfect boy for me.

But the glow of their memories was far too weak, and their thoughts no longer had the clarity of fouteen years earlier. Without a word, they passed each other, disappearing into the crowd. Forever.

A sad story, don't you think?

Ocean... she is sick today and not coming to work... seems to get a bit quieter huh.. hehee~~ hope that she is fine.. take care ya?

For me, i am not feeling that good also... was having a flu on Sunday.. and today when i was coming to work, there was a heavy traffic jam.. and i was like, suffocating in the crampy bus.. having a bit of headache.. and difficulty in getting some air... now feeling much better...

Tomorrow our company is having an activity.. Paintball at Yishun's OCC. dunno what to wear leh~~ sianz... they say its good to wear long sleeves so that u wont get bruised when you get shot.. chiam lah.. i think i sure kana shot one... somemore i got poor aiming skills... anyways.. i'll see when the time comes..(which is tomolo?!)

Having 2 meetings later... boring... but that occupies my time for today.. not bad too.. hahaa~~ better than nothing to do.. oh ya, actually there's something to do.. but i dun wanna finish that fast... hehee~~

Went to watch ~The day after tomorrow~ on friday... thats a very nice show...about the possible consequences of global warming - the northern hem will become ice age?! the effects are great... the love and motivation for a dad to walk all the way in such cold temperature to find his only son... a touching movie... i recommend it to guys out there who havent watch..

Yesterday went sentosa with colleagues again... and again, i didnt get into the sea... i dun like to get wet and also, i got a bit of huge pool of water.. ya.. phobia... i basically acted like a watchdog? hehee~~ no lah.. i was there sitting alone and take care of their bags loh.. did play for a while, take pictures etc.. so its not completely boring for me too! i gotta take care and play with Rose..

today... there's nothing much for me to do except to watch tv... oh ya, borrowed ~50 first dates to watch~... thats a cute one... the story is ok... but i am touched by the love that one can give to another... making the girl fall in love with him everyday...(because the girl got short term memory loss...)

When can i find mine? It has been 6 days since he last contacted me...

Hiz.... yesterday went to meet my fellow coursemate... a year younger then me... he went to the same attachment lab as me... Under Ross in University of Queensland.. he showed me a lot of pictures he took using his handphone camera.. not bad huh... he also got take some short videos... wah... How Lian leh... he really talked a lot... dun even have the chance for me to get a drink... boring... then after tat no dinner also.. i went to pack home to eat... whereas my parents and brother were having sting ray and sambal kangkong... sobsob...

Today going for movie... Yippee.. its friday... (somewhere my heart is not feeling that happy... coz it has been 3 days since he last smsed me....) May be going to or rather will be going to sentosa tomolo... hot hot hot.. will become black i think.. the weather is so hot nowadays....

Hm... i'm having back ache now... always got this problem when i need to do the YSI machine... me too tall lah... stand and bent and stand and bent... (is that a compliment that you are tall or something? hehee~~)

Hm... deleted my testimonial of him in friendster... feel that what i wrote there looked a bit strange.. maybe will rewrite it... dunno... ArGhhh......cant find an exact word to describe my feelings.....

I'm getting tired when days go by... kept dreaming about pple at work... alamak.. why huh? when can i have a dreamless sleep? Got a bit of headache liao...

I have 2 sides... what do i mean? I mean that i am begining to feel that there are 2 persons living inside my head... probably thats what others say - one angel and one devil... when you got a problem you will think of the pros and cons... to do it or not to... ya... the angel and the devil are fighting...

i think i felt this way is because of him... oh god, can he gimme a sign of something? whether its negative or positive doesnt matter... when will i have the chance to tell him how i feel? i think it has been about 3 years... i've dropped a whole lotta hints to him... but he doesnt catch it... what can i do? Probably he treats me like a normal friend... a basic friend... an acquaintance only...

*Yawnzzz* felt so sleepy...

Hm... Sis called this morning.. she has arrived in Melbourne.. =) so envious.. i wanna go somewhere too... but then not for now.. hehee~~ maybe wait loh... there's a possibility for me to go and visit Atarena in september... (not confirm though)

brother has been occupying the PC at home to watch Naruto... *sigh* i cant use the PC until he finishes all the Vcds.. hey.. i brought them back one leh~~ *sulking* Hm...anyway, brother is working for Disney again...but not me this time round.. they had enough pple already. i think this time the show will be at Taka.. not sure yet... gotta confirm with him again.. i wanna go and watch the characters..hehee~~

Vivien suggested to go and watch "the day after tomorrow" on friday with their partners along... so strange huh... later cannot talk too much rubbish and acting stupid liao...
hehee~~

there's nothing much to do these few days... finished what i'm supposed to do... will try to find something to do later..or else i will bore to death.. (does it sound serious? hehe)
