Yesterday went to watch Mission Impossible 3 at Great World city, had our lunch at Crystal Jade... Ying sms me last min to meet up after that then knew that Pei was going too.. =) we had sort-of dinner at Ting Tai Fung at Paragon.. then went Bali lane's blue jaz to further continue our chit chatting =) It's nice to meet up once in a while.. to see how friends are getting on... Alex was supposed to turn up.. but he didnt. Nevermind, there's always another time... and there will have more pple.. like Angela, beng, Jon etc etc.

Having classes tonight. The new module seems to be interesting that I forgot to take my umbrella with me when I left the class last sat... Dear tried to went back yesterday afternoon to get it back for me.. but seems like the person at the information counter was really unfriendly to him... and refuse to let him go to the classroom to get it. *stupid auntie* I think he must have met the same auntie as me when i went to hand in my assignment.. she was soo soo unfriendly, then I wished that there's a feedback box for me to write about her. Argh, enough about her...

Perming

It's monday... Haz and Na came with a new hairstyle today.. Both of them went to perm their hair.. Na got a body perm (volume perm) and Haz got those trendy nice curls.. It's so tempting to go and perm my hair as well.. but I guess, not so soon! hee~

Saw the new admin assistant in the lift today. A young, not-so-tall chap.. but still, not bad looking lah. Hope he'll stay long at this job.. haha~ too many aunties here to give stress to him... you know lah.. those middleage ones..

Once again it rains...

I will be going to my tutorial class straight after work today... there's no class tmr!! I made a mistake and saw the timetable wrongly hee~ *phew* At least there's a day for me to rest..

I think this course is really really difficult.. I already had 2 poly friends dropped out.. and I dun want to see more... Its just so so discouraging.. esp you have to juggle your time between work (shift) and study/assignments/test n exams blah blah.

Ok.. Finally, my assignment is 90% done.. just like my body system.. it's 90% recovered.. still having blocked nose..

It's raining really really heavily now... and I'm off work soon, in 5 mins time. Sianz. gotta get wet.. but it's still better than hot sunny afternoon. =)

I got my next module's timeable. seems not bad.... It's all about genetics again....

Workout

Just came home from a morning brisk walk.. It's tiring.. although it's just walking.. but its fast walking k. Still got exercise lah.. at least, I did sweat. hehe~

My aim is to complete my 2nd assignment.. or rather 80% today.. coz there will be classes from Monday to Friday, EVERYDAY, after work.. and i definitely will have very little time to touch the assignment.. hee~ Plus, I need to start revising once i have done the assignment.. coz i've got 2 weeks left to final exam!!

Ok... instead of panicking, I shall take a shower and go on to my assignment. Til then!

Recovering

Took MC today. Yesterday had been a terrible night. fever shot up to 38d.. For now, I'm feeling better. just a bit of nasal block and cough. I think i can still go to the movie tonight. heh.

Met Ting and Ping last sunday. Saw Ting's new Bf. not bad looking. Hope that they can last long long =) Souveniors from Taiwan given out more or less.. except yingz. hee~ Sorry~ always had no time to meet you.. Even if i did see you, I forget to bring them hee~ Next time lah hor. =)

Going to start on my assignment 2 and revising for my final exam at the end of the month.

Bird flu?

I feel so uncomfortable and sickly now.. Nasal area is blocked, with a little bit of sore throat.. whenever i swallow something (even saliva) I will feel the pain and discomfort.. It's been a while since i got this kind of illness.. must be the constant eating of fried chicken and nuggets these few days, worse still, the "shouting" made from yesterday's KTV session.

I think I'm gonna take MC tomorrow, if i'm not better tonight. Hey wait a minute.. it's not bird flu heh?

I got lucky again

I won another pair of Movie pass.. this time, to watch the jap horror movie "Reincarnation" on next Tues. I'm not sure why I enter the contest, since I dun like to watch horror movie.. (I'm a scaredy cat). Anyway, I'll still go and watch it. hehe~ with dear, of course.

Deadline

Ok still remember i won a pair of movie tickets? Well, for the first time, I'm really excited... I got to the temporary ticket booth at about 6.30pm.. and already there's 10 person queuing.. dear actually said that they were being kiasu.. and asked me to go and walk around for a bit... I got into the queue about 6.40pm, then waited for about 5 mins and then turn my head around.. Gosh~ there were loads of lucky pple who won the tickets too!! chey. i thought i were the few lucky ones...

Anyway, since its free seating, dear and I decided to get some snacks before we move in... once we got in... I was like WOW... it's half occupied with rubbish lying around... We choose a comfortable place (but with rubbish on seat) and wanted to sit when the auntie sitting 2 seats away said... "sorry hor.. the 2 seats were taken". What the?? Using rubbish to chope seats? Like that also can ah..(by the way, the rubbish were empty nachos box with leftover cheese..) We then walked for about 2-3 mins looking for unoccupied seats.. coz we dun want to sit at the front... and luckily, we were still able to get the side seats at the back. I cant imagine pple were using umbrellas, bags etc etc to chope seats.. *sigh* So i think the next time i go to a free seating movie, maybe i should bring something there to chope?! haahaa Just kidding.. or I'll be falling into the trap... an auntie-lookalike trap....

Finally, I'll be handing up my assignment today (although the deadline is tmr before 5pm i think).. This assignment has killed millions of my brain cells.. i cant imagine how much more it's going to kill for the 2nd assignment, which will be tougher! I have another 2 weeks for the 2nd assignment deadline... not time to enjoy at all.. I miss my friends...

Received an email today... I won a pair of movie tickets to "Inside Man". Sneak preview today at Marina, 7pm. Supposed to have a tutorial class later at 7pm too.. but luckily there's another tutorial class tmr.. Informed my tutor that I will be joining tmr's class....

I cant possibly let my tickets go to waste, since it's my first time winning something.. right?

Probably, I'm just not confident enough to put down into words... or as you know, I'm bad at explanations, deductions and story telling. That what's make doing my assignment so difficult.

Changing skin soon

It's April soon...
Yesterday i got an increment for this year. A paltry sum. It's getting lesser and lesser each year. Anyway, like my dear said, it's always better than nothing. That's true. Hence i think i need to "celebrate" by giving a treat to my family. (No spares for friends. haha~)

Was feeling bored this morning and browse through blogskins.. found a very cute one, but with very limited writing space... It may be worse if i want to post photos... despite that, I'll change to that once i feel like it.. since my dear said my current skin is not suitable with Firefox.. i dont have that browser installed at home or in the office.. hence.. dear, trial and error k? I need to start working on my first assignment this sunday.. i only have about 11 days to complete... and it's really really tough i tell ya. I dont like this module at all. i dun have any background, which makes it worse! urgh~!

Was strangely hit by something hard on the head while i was waiting for the traffic light.. "Oouch! it's painful!" was my first thought... I quickly turned around and saw nothing... there's nothing on the floor.. tilted my head up and saw a mynah (bird) flown past... i also saw an auntie who stood very far away from me.. so i dun think it's the auntie who hit me.. it was the bird!! Who can be so lucky?

Bro also mentioned to me that he went to collect the SD card yesterday during his lunch time... and it cost about 10 cents to recover 1 photo if you have more than 100... so i had 200 pictures.. and thats 20bucks... then...there's this admistration fee of 40 bucks... in total we had to pay 60bucks =) Not expensive at all! at least it's not over 100 =)

Will be bringing the photos to develop this weekend... but first, will collate the pictures and let some of my colleagues see~

(just in case you make the same mistake like us when you are travelling, or you are attending an important function...) alright. this is the website. I think they have quite a number of services... just that they are only open mondays to fridays, 8.30 to 6pm.

Hm.. brother went to the shop i mentioned earlier, regarding the recovery of my lost media.... the shop said that it's 99% recovery! Good! Pls dun make us to be the 1 percent.... =p

Actually, i think tat it's quite cheap.. consider that it's sort of once in a lifetime.. at least it's not like over a hundred bucks... *phew*.. and the more pictures they recover, the cheaper the cost (just like when you go photocopying notes)... it will probably be less then 30 bucks.. but I'm not sure yet. have to confirm with brother. Afterall we took about 200 pics... i forgot to ask bro when are we collecting the memory card.. hope it will be fast, so that i can go and develop them.. and then post more nice pictures over here. hee~

How i wish that i can go back to student life..not working, just need to concentrate on my studies... go out with classmates, talk rubbish, do assignment and tutorials together, have lunch, go shopping, etc etc and dun worry about everything and anything... haha~~

Restarting Engine

Yesterday's practical class was really difficult.. i wonder was it because i skipped lectures 2 and 3? I totally dun have any idea what was i doing...I and Gin were stuck there for about 1.5 hours figuring out what to do.. asked Lewis and he was of no help at all. Luckily at the end, the demonstrator came around and explained a little to us... At last, i understood something.

Went home straight away and started reading those lectures i skipped, while waiting for my hair to dry. Very chim leh~~ I will be continuing the practical work after i get home today.. need some time to start my engine... coz afterall, it has not been working hard for about 2 months during the term break.

Dear was saying I'm stressing up myself... yes i am.. coz without stressing myself, I wont improve. Thats for sure. So dear, just bear with me for a while k?

Seriously no time!!

Was really busy.. no time to meet friends. Sorry~! last week came back from Taiwan on Wed, MC on Thur, worked on friday... Sat went then Kluang in Malaysia, finally got time to rest from Sunday late afternoon onwards. hee~

Kluang has nice food... too bad it is just a small town area... i think it's about the size of clementi? haha~ not sure though. i think they only have 1 or 2 shopping centres.. and i bought a pair of Levis Jeans for S$87 bucks..at the shopping centre beside my hotel. hee~ quite cheap.

School started last Sat... ya. I skipped 2 hours of lesson to go Kluang.. I went for the first hour to get the notes... afterall, its the first lesson. I still have classes tonight.. i think this module is really difficult. talking about all the genes and dna... doesnt really interest me at all! I think i need to spend more time to understand bioinformatics. heh.

Anyway, got to know the gender of my sis's baby... it's a she!! hee~ Congratulations! Hope you will enjoy your honeymoon in Perth!

A little hope

A little hope for today.. I went online to search for media recovery and found 1. Maybe going to call them and ask whether they can restore the pictures formatted, before going down.

Ok. As promised, some of the pictures i took, using another memory card when the terrible thing happened. Day 4 :

Afternoon, we went onsen.. (indoor and outdoor) with a choice of wearing swim wear or totally naked. Of course, we chose the former. This is a pic of Astro boy.. i think it was actually pointing to the lift, up to the onsen upstairs.



At night, we were brought to Shilin Market... we walked around and ate the omelette, ice cream, chicken fillet. Not bad =)



Back to our hotel, we decided to take some more pictures.. and then we went to back to XiMen too..



Day 5: Brought us to our last stop... some place that sells ceramics and porceleins... items were too huge and too fragile to buy.. hence.. none of us bought anything...

I'm Back

Came back fromTaiwan. Overall, it's nice. Updates will be done, hopefully tonight. by the way, we took a lot of pics initially, about 200.. but then someone accidentally format the card on day 4 and everything was gone... hence we tried to take more pics to compensate the loss... Sad.. but its over.

Server down.

Yesterday's company's server was down.. actually, it was supposed to be for maintenance.. but end up from about 12.45pm onwards, everyone couldnt access the LAN drive, as well as the internet. At around 3pm, suggestions were made by the TLs - Due to server down, those who want to go back early at 4pm, can. But have to pay back the hours the next day. What the? I might as well stay around doing nothing rather than paying back hours!

Anyway, i think the server got up and running again at 10.45pm.. Our poor IT guys.... must had been going through a lot of stress, everyone calling them up and asking them when the server would be up.. then when everyone was off work, they were still here trying to fix the prob. Well done guys! *applause*

Hm.. havent pack my luggage yet.... i think i have to take the initiative.. to avoid last minute packing.

Here's the update:

1) Sis got married, and I had fun on that day. Everyone was asking bro and me when will be our turn.. and we simply replied "soon". heh. =p

2) Went for my basic theory test on saturday. Passed! Now trying to find time to start learning driving.. (but i dun think it will be that fast, coz i still need to go for my lessons...)

3) Sorta celebrated Fran's bday on sat.. went out together to have a lunch and bought her a gift =) Hope she liked it.. (oh ya~ we sang a birthday song for her too.. but without a cake... hee~)

4) Went to Ying's chinese dance performance (combined with other grps) at Kallang theatre.. the MCs were good and funny... dance wise... some were nice and some were a bit boring.. but definitely Ying's was nice!! Seems like she's got a great figure on stage.. hee~

5) This sat I'm flying off... flight is at 8am.. gotta reach the airport at 6.10am.. *yawnz* so early!! But it's ok lah.. we are going to have fun mah~ hee~ Coming back on Wed, night flight... will reach Sing around 11.40pm bah~

Wednesday will be a busy day for me.. or rather, my whole family. Sis is getting married! Tea ceremony and dinner =) I am given the task to "protect" my sis when we are going over to the other side for tea ceremony (i got something to watch out for her). heh. I wonder if i can manage, coz sometimes I am really blur!

Thought of what to wear for that day... white for the morning and black for the dinner.. hm.. seems not very nice right? black and white.. but who cares? as long as i look pretty in them right? haha

Quite excited for the taiwan trip.. or rather, taipei trip.. I went to check my itinerary and saw that out of the 5 days, 4 days are in taipei and the other one in taichung. Good. I will have loads of fun shopping and eating!

Well, anyways, I do not seem as happy as i am right now... because I still have some problems to worry.. although it's not exactly my prob... (eh.. am i making sense?).. just hope that everything will go smoothly and all parties will be satisfied.

Taiwan trip confirmed.

It's been a long time since i worked weekends... today it's 7-4... but i think i will leave once everything is done here... So tired... got to work at 7am... i intend to come late... but somehow somewhat, i still come here on time... sigh.. i think i'm still a good and responsible person. =P

Ok.. brother's bday is over.. no celebrations, just a simple one with his gf... bday gift? we told him to go and get one himself and we will pay for him. hee~

Now, Taiwan trip is now confirmed. I will be going Taiwan on 4th march to 8th march.. ya.. it's only five days.. but i think that'll still be fun =)

Was on the way to bugis junction... listening to the songs and talking about the slow traffic.. I guess it's off work time and it's a special day.. hence there's a lot of cars on the road..

Inching forward... we heard something..

Me: "Whats that sound?"
KK: "Not sure though".. but wait! I think she hit me! Help me see the plate number"

I turned around and looked carefully..

Me: "it's a huge car, with a lady and a kid.. plus triangle plate and number is ***2091B"
KK pulled over at the nearby bus stop... While he went down to check his car, I was looking closely at the car.. because she didnt stop her car... still in the line, inching forward.. but of course, she did look at us, waiting for us to signal her to stop. KK came back, signal her to go..

KK: "i think the car is not damage.. I'll check again later.. there's too many cars right now"

After we reached our destination, we went down and had a thorough check.. indeed, there's no damage. *phew*

Happy Valentine's day!

First of all, let me wish all the pple to have a Happy Valentine's day!

In japan, during valentine's day, a girl will usually make chocolates or chocolate cakes to their love ones, like Daddy and boyfriend etc. Besides those love ones, they will also give some kind of "obligation chocolate" to guys who treat her good -- maybe in school or at work, no feelings attached. This day is also a special day to confess to the one she likes.. and it may turn out to be a surprise for her.

Beside's Valentine's day, there's also a white day on March 14 for the guys who had received chocolates from girls to return them a gift. This gift is usually white chocolates, or some other accessories.

Living in singapore, there are very little pple who will exchange chocolates anymore.. especially homemake ones. The gifts are rather, chosen directly or indirectly by hinting their partners. For my case, i chose them... I think that choosing gifts and giving them directly (without wrappers) seems a bit not romantic... but no choice. It is difficult to be romantic when being a thirfty and realistic singaporean (like me). Heh. =P

Last day

Des last day was last Friday. I did heard pple mentioning that she's leaving.. just that i dun know the exact date, until she came to me and gave me a card, stating to keep in contact.

Fireworks

Yesterday went to Esplanade to watch fireworks. Heard from SC that everyday til the 15th of lunar new year, there will be fireworks.. so i went there, with kk, of course. heh~ First we went marina square and had our dinner at swensen, then we walked around sorta aimlessly.. finally we walked to esplanade and waited til 9.30pm when the fire works started. It's so nice~

Buzzing fry... or fly?

i have a pair of tired eyes today.. not sleepy, just tired.. i guess it's because i faced computer for such a long time yesterday... 9 hours at work.. and continued several hours at home.. tried to control myself.. but i cant.. my Vcds are able to play only on computer.. Also, i recently found a website that can read manga..

Today our company is having some sort of "recognition" program.. to recognise those who have significantly contribute to the company. Me? Nah~ Recognition is for those "big" pple and those who worked long enough in the company. I am just a small fry... *buzz*.....who is dispensable *spat!*

9th day of lunar new year

I had fun over the weekends. heh.

Saturday: Kk accompanied me to the IPL session at taka and after that we went around shopping. Kk had 60 dollars taka voucher and didnt know what to spend for.. after some thinking, we finally agreed on something. Silver couple rings =) You know, we are still young and dun have that amount of money to get real stuff, hence, we decided on silver.. real one has to wait. heh. I also bought 3 ties for him as a Valentine's day gift. =) Kk, make sure you dun lose it again~!

We went home after that and brought mum to Great world city to eat kenny rogers quarter chicken. yummy~~. hee~ I love their corns and mash potato! I saw a bag that i liked last time in one of the shops in great world and decided to go ahead and get it on Sat.. I went in the shop, chose a color and asked them to get a new one for me (coz the display one had some stiches problem) A girl actually wanted to look for me.. but the other simply replied "thats the last one" What? Anyway, since she said that, I chose not to buy.. although i really liked the bag..

Sunday: Sis and mum went to get sis's wedding items.. those bathtubs, spittoons, toothpaste etc etc.. to prepare for this coming sat when her mother-in-law will come with the bride price. Kk and I went to pick them up after that. We got home and rested for a while.. mum went to 4D and toto. hee~ after that, we brought mum to the Fountain of Wealth at suntec city to touch the fortune water as well as the fishes in Koi garden.

We got a bit bored in Suntec and drove out to esplanade to see the "river angbao". Although new year season is already ending soon, there were still a lot of pple there. We even saw some Indian families taking pictures with the "Cai Shen"! I guess everyone wants to win the 10 million? angbao in this new year. We took some pics, and ate some snackz before we went home, all tired.

Happiest day.

yesterday may be the happiest day for father... It was his birthday and sis treated all of us to dinner. Father, being an impatient person, waited for all of us to come home before we set off for dinner in a nearby coffee shop.

We each gave him a total of 500bucks as birthday present.. and we could see his smiling face throughout the whole dinner. After dinner, we asked him to go home and cut his cake.. but he walked off.. I thought since he didnt like cakes and celebrations, he would not be home... so mum sis and me went to NTUC to stock up for some goodies for new year..

We reached home about 8.50 and dad and bro were already at home.. So dad actually came home to wait for us? =) We took out the cake and sang him a birthday song. I think this is the first time we celebrated his bday. we took some pictures of dad cutting his cake.. and i took a pic with dad... I think for such long years, this was the first time i took a pic with dad.. I will treasure the memories of yesterday.. coz yesterday was the happiest day for my whole family.

Today is Wed.. I will be going to Jurong point after work to collect my spoilt shoes and my cheque... Talking about this, it's really frustrating. I went to this shoe shop in Jurong point - mister minit and wanted to change the soles of my boots.... I paid for 52 bucks as they wrote "payment has to be in full amount because of guaranteed workmanship" something like that.. ok i trust this shop and paid. The guy told me to come back 1 week later to collect. And off i went.

1 week later, i went down to the shop and he said that my shoes were not ready.. i was getting a little bit angry because it took me all the way to come down here and he said its not ready? Well anyway, I cant do anything much and hence went home. Another week later, I decided to call them and asked them whether my shoes were ready (smarter this time) and not to get another wasted trip... I searched for the reciept to look for their phone number.. and there's none.. i went online to search.. yellowpages etc.. i cant find any!! hm.. no choice i got to go down again..

I got there, presented my receipt, and they said its still not ready yet. Asked me to come another day. What?? this was wat you said 2 weeks ago!! I'm getting angrier and my attitude got a bit bad... I asked them for phone number and guess what they say? "Our shop DOESNT have a phone". gosh. Then how am i supposed to know if my shoes were ready? They said they will call me... and it took forever..

The thing went ding donging a few times.. (i made a lot of wasted trip) and finally i got back my shoes.. and guess what, its TORN and TATTERED!!! I demanded an explanation and the thing again go ding donging back and forth... until last week, they told me to collect the 52 bucks cheque and the shoes back.. and yeah... they are not compensating me for the spoilt shoes. Fu*k. but anyway, i dun think that matters so much..at least i can get back my 52 bucks. i'm just hoping that they wont say my cheque is not ready... or else, I will really file for a complain.

So after this incident, i swear that i will not ever visit this MISTER MINIT again.

yesterday

Yesterday we (mum, sis, kk and i) went shopping around Jurong neighbourhood in search of nice cushion covers... We walked around and finally found 1 shop. bought a pink color set of cushion cover. This year our house concept is pink. When everything is up nice and tidy, I'll post up a pic.

Anyway, was feeling very hot and sticky while waiting.. and decided to pose for a picture to have some fun to forget about the sticky feeling we had....

as there was a long queue, i got a lot of time to spare. Hm.. everyone is dreaming of getting the 1 million angbao for the new year... Good luck! Anyway, I saw this strange looking signboard and took a pic of it... looks like monster inc - mike, the one eye monster. hehee

We went on to shop for drinks.. and i came across this strange, eerie looking fruit for the new year.. and it's suppose to call "zhao cai fuo shou" - fortune calling buddha hand.

At last, we got what we wanted... sent mum and sis home, and we went out again to watch Memoirs of the Geisha. Nice show!

Wedding stress.

Ok.. there's nothing much to do now in the office... coz the tedious one is currently postponed til further notice... just hope that it wont spoil my plan on going overseas in early March. Bro was supposed to call up the agency group. but then i think he is lazy to.. (same as me lah) So drag some more lah.. may be end up not going..

So tired of working right now.. really feel like giving up, which is quitting this job and turn to part time.. but then after serious consideration, i think i decided to stay on... then i have the money to study, to give mummy, to learn driving and also, preparing for my future family. heh.

Recently saw that sis is really busy preparing for her wedding... with her old traditional mother in law... i can only use one word. "terrible". She already prewarn sis not to do this and not to do that.. a lot of rules and regulations to live with her. Worse still, when sis wants to move out, her mother in law say..."I'm going to move in with you guys so that i can take care of my grandchild". Argh~~ i'm so stressed up even by listening. Die liao lah. sure quarrel one...

I start to wonder.... what if my future mother in law also lidat? then... eh.... i got nothing much to say liao loh.. kk reassured me that his mum is not that kind of person.. (which i believes so since they are all living and working in US for some years, which is an open minded country - or else they will not get use to the environment there)..

Friday 13th

Ok.. friday 13th. A lot of pple took leave and MC today... hm... bad day? I dunno.. But i know it's someone's birthday today.. hee~ hope that it is a good day for him.

All alone in the lab.. a lot of things to clear.. and a lot of things to do.. however, I'm still feeling happy... this is because... my EXAM is OVER!! Its not that i did well in my exam.. just that i dun have the stress!! I'm FREE... at least for 2 months. hehe~ I'm planning to go Taiwan within the next 2 months.. just hope that nothing crops up.

Also, I got 4 sets of new animes to watch!! Yippee~!!

Ok, back to blogging again. Well, today is the day of my final exam... confident? urm... not sure yet... but i can tell you after that. More or less the informations are in my head.. just that when i am facing those questions... will i be able to regurgitate the information? Just pray hard. hee~

Boring post

Lazy day... cleared up my work over these few days.. currently, there's really nothing much.. except to followup with some of the issues that are still dangling from 2005.

Next monday to Thur I will be staying at home and be a good girl... coz i need to study for my final exam. i kept saying that i want to study I want to study.. but then I dun seem to have the motivation to fully concentrate on reading my notes.. I am also easily distracted by television and games and computers and my bed...etc etc... Sigh.

just now went SIM to have our lunch. LY's new car... Mazda 5.. nice! It's black color and cost only 80 thousand.. for a MVP its cheap!

Ok.. smelt a foul smell somewhere near CRU... and they told me the smell is actually from a dead rat in linen room. Yucks. I cant imagine how many days the dead rat was there during the christmas closure... to decompose in the aircon pipeline... and now.. the foul smell had slowly spreaded...... worse still, the body has not been found.

Ok.. during the last week break.. i did nothing much.. except to accompany sis to do minor things. Now that her ROM is over... I dun have any more reason to slack. hehe. Got to study hard from today onwards.. coz my final exam is approaching..

New year resolution? Hm.. i think i want to find some time to go overseas to relax and do some sightseeing... expecially for the coming 2 months.. coz my next module only start in March.. Besides overseas trip, I hope that i can do well in my studies!

Yesterday me and bro shared the price of nokia 3230 and gave it to sis for her wedding gift. I dunno whether she like it or not.. but i like it definitely!!! *Envious* We bought it without contract for 480 bucks. KK also bought a pair of japanese wedding Kokeshi dolls (hand made) So kawaii~~ I chose that... but he paid for it.. hehe~

Christmas eve..

Last day of work yesterday. Our dear LianYong decided to give us half day off.. Thats very nice! however things cropped up, we have to wait for the 1 of the study results to come back... worst still, the subject had one of his results flagged high. We have to recall the subject and as him to come back... and we couldnt locate him... thats when we can only watch pple go but have to stay back ourselves. Anyway, we manage to locate him.. and the subject can only come back at 5pm. I off work at 4 .. so Vic had to stay back.. I received an sms yesterday from HC.. i think i have to work on next week... when the company is closed...

Anyway, yesterday's gathering was alright. At least. Bought pizzas up for the pot luck.. after that we went to watch movie, Narnia. nice show!!

I wonder why everyone is exchanging gifts this year... more bonus? hehe~ i dunno. anyway i receive the most number of gifts this year and I tell you all something... I am so HAPPY!! Happenings.

hm.. baldwin drives a RX8... RX8...RX8... RX8...RX8!!! It's becoming my fav car now... besides volkswagon beetle, mini cooper and Miata. Eh.. seems like i like small cars huh. heee~ Anyway, i think i started to like Mazda car.. maybe because of my bf? ha~ his car is not bad lah.. just need to plus 5 and he'll get 8 =P

Anyway, there's a lot of happenings these few days... just didnt have the time to update.

This sat will be my 2nd MCQ test.. cant seem to understand all the lectures.. but, still have to study.. Sat is also the dead line for my assignment. I dun think i will get high grades for that.. coz i'm not good in producing report... and wat's worse, referencing to journals. Please give me a pass. At least.

Next, Sis is getting ROM at the end of this month. It's so mafan to find an auspicious date... but no choice.. it's either this time, or the next good date for them will take a long time. My sis and her Bf can wait.. but her bf's parents cant.. I think they are quite old and want a "inner " grandchild soon. See, old pple's thinking.. daughter's children arent grandchild too? Pple are so unfair..

Sis wedding is a rush.. very little discussion with her actually.. i think she need to listen to her bf's mum.. everything she said is "kk's mum said, kk's mum want" (by the way, my sis bf had the same initial - kk - as my bf). My mum just leave everything to them to decide... coz we dun want to put sis into a difficult situation. By the way, she's getting married soon and guess what, my family and their family have not met up yet... hm.. if they are that traditional... arent they suppose to pay a visit to our house and ask for my sis's hand? Are they really sincere? I dun know. but i guess so. ha~!

Hm.. created a very plain template.. anyway, i thought to change a little since christmas is coming. heh~ Anyway, this is what happened before i went to lunch today.

Right now i am wearing the new tank top given to me by Joann... L.H saw me just before i went for lunch and said

She: "why do you use this?"
Me: "What do you mean by use this?" i actually know she was referring to my top but i feign ignorance.. (furthermore she's using the wrong english)
She repeated "why are you using this?"
Me: "Do you mean my top?"
She: "ya."
Me: "I thought CRTs dont have uniform guidelines?"
She: "Ya, but still you have to wear properly, at least something not sleeveless."
Me: "Ok. I know. Now is lunch time and i got my cardigan with me today."

What the? Old fashion thinking. Just like my sis's going-to-be mother-in-law. I dun like that. bleh~

She's irritating.

Today we finally opened our hamper to distribute.. a hamper we gotten from the year end function. Everyone was courteous to let each other choose what we prefer.. and due to this kind of courtesy, that irritating agency nurse took advantage of the situation and took a lot! She's like, "chopping" the biggest tin of biscuits she can find. Furthermore, she wanted to take that bottle of wine too! (lucky someone stopped her) plus, there's a lot of items we can share and distribute... and as expected, she took the most! In 1 swoop, she got her plastic bag full. Guess what she said after that? "I dun actually eat these stuff I took. I just take lo". WTH?? that take so much for what? She's really greedy and I just cant stand her.

By the way, you want to know who the greedy person is, right? Chiang.

Hm.. gotta hand up my assignment next week and yet I havent even touch it. Sianz.. and then yesterday practical.. i dun know what i am doing also. Results were screw.. Explaination was not clear.. well. I'm having a little bit of bad mood now.. Anyway, i think i'll be fine soon.. dun worry. Girls are like that. Mood swings ya?

My Weekend

My weekend.

Sat - Company's year end function at Amara hotel. I won an early bird draw.. My prize? Royce chocolate that worth 20 to 30 bucks. I ate some.. it's generally nice.. but then it tasted a bit like... cocopops? hehe~ Anyway, we had fun. We played a group game and got a hamper. Will be splitting the hamper when Vieth get back tmr. We also acted a short scene from Crouching Tiger hidden dragon.. haa~ it's really funny. Vieth got the best actress award. hee~

After the YEF, we went Great world to watch movie "prime". It's not a very fantastic show.. as there's no ending to it...

Sun - Went to watch chicken little.. its a very cute and funny show. I recommend those mummies and daddies to bring their kids to watch. =) After the show, we got home and had dinner with mum.. Stingray~~ yummy~

Ikea was closed early

Was a little bit disappointed yesterday... we took a cab down to Ikea and when we reached there, we saw a bit that stated "Ikea will be closed on 1st Dec after 4.30 for Annual Dinner and Dance, and will be open on 2nd Dec 10am." No choice, we got to find another place to walk walk and chit chat. Hence we took a bus down to Holland V.

We walked around and finally had our dinner at Tangos. My main course (deep fried half chicken), PY's seafood soup were both a disappointment. Not nice. Her soup was too salty and my chicken was too bland! We ordered some finger food too.. and only the calamari rings and deep fried tofu could make it.

Got home around 9pm.. laze around and slept early at 11pm.. its been days since i last had time to sleep early. hee~~

It's friday once again.. will be going out with the girls again to try out pedicure. =)

Ikea's next.

so sleepy. supposed to be going back soon.. however, just agreed to go out with the girls. to ikea. hm.. i wonder what can we get over there? I think they just want to go walk walk... Anyway, mum's not cooking tonight.. she's now at Grandma house.

Hm.. this sat is the Year End Function of my company. I think the budget is getting lower and lower? This time round is high tea session at amara hotel. I hope it will be fun.. coz i have decided to skip the lecture on Sat. (i took a long time to decide whether to skip the lesson.. as you know, I'm a hardworking person =p)

Next week will be a better week.. but right now, I need to get energised.

Tired

Yesterday had my first MCQ test for Immunology. Generally its ok. Sure pass one lah. But then got some questions i really dunno whats the answer.. so ti kam loh. hee~ see if i got the luck to ti kam correctly or not. heehee~

Later I'm having my practical lesson.. starting from yesterday, my lecturer is changed.. a bit not used to it. She speaks with a strange tone and essence.. and then her way of teaching is to read from the presentation slides with little diagrams and pictures to go with... so a little bit boring lah. I even switched off my mind and cant catch any hints for the exam.. Although we have the lecture recorded, the mike was dead yesterday.. so got video no audio also no use... sianz...

Ok lah.. 1 and a half more hours to go... gotta stay awake.. coz I'm feeling a little bit sleepy now.. *Yawnz*

Working and studying

Working and studying at the same time is really tiring.... yesterday i had night class.. and this morning i am working morning shift... tonight, I'm having classes again.. tmr I will be working early! To add on, next week is my first test already.. so fast.. i dun seem to be able to absorb all information yet.. how leh? heard from the professor that there will have 50 questions in total.. hm.. and those choices to choose from will be tricky.. and i have to choose the best answer out of 5 choices.. so the percentage of me guessing correctly is far lesser than those times when i have MCQ test with only 4 choices.... sigh...

anyway, something to cheer me up... i'm off work soon. ;p

I see a mountain

Heh. This morning as i went to the office and opened my email.. wow. 105 new mails and 30 over junkmails. Took quite some time to clear up but didnt really read through everything... it's too much!

After that... i worked non stop (except lunch break and 2 toilet break) til 5.30pm. Did a lot of things today and felt satisfied. haa~ strange right? I think is because i managed to clear up a lot of mess. I still got a lot of things to do actually.. and i dun like to delegate. As usual (except my 4 days MC lah). I rather do all things by myself rather than checking other pple's work after they helped me. if things go wrong, the arrow still points back to me right? Maybe i'm a perfectionist... and maybe i'm too petty... coz i always see mistakes in other pple's work and i cant stand them.. especially when it's my protocol...

That is why I dun care whether the others in the lab are free or have nothing to do or not.. But i know that Vic had his own protocols/SOPs/Validation etc to deal with. Maybe if you have nothing to do and surfing net or something else... DONT hide (coz i usually dun).. hiding makes it more OBVIOUS... surfing net and then clicking back to the default lotus note when others or me came back into the office..

I'm working tmr!!

Yesterday mum and sis accompanied me to Taka =) I went for the IPL session while they went ahead to shop around. (sis was getting 2 wedding gifts for her 2 friends who are getting married soon, i think.) After my session, I went to join them and we had China food again at Imperial Treasure Restaurant.. Nice ambient, good service... but then very ex leh.. we only ate very little and it cost us about 60bucks.. but anyway, if mum's happy, I am too. hee~

I went to class after my lunch.. and after class, i went back to orchard and meet Joann. Hee~ long time since i saw her liao.. she gave me souveniors from Bangkok.. Nice nice.. i like it a lot. They are a white tank top and a necklace. Thank you! We had a nice time chatting and making jokes.. if we were both not tired, I'm sure we could chat til later~! Let's meet again sometime.. coz i forget to bring the necklace you lent me last time. hee~

Alright, just realised that i have a MCQ test the following monday.. i guess i need to study liao.. there's too much information i need to study and get them all into my head.. if not.. die liao.. First thing first. I need to get something to eat so that i can have the energy to study. hehee~ tata.

Friday.

Last day of my MC. It's weekend... after that i will have to get back to work again. heh. I feared what i'm going to see this coming monday.. sure that are a lot of work piled up, waiting for me to clear.. sigh...

This is the first week of my study. Immunology. Everything's ok.. except that it's quite boring when you got to study the same thing every week. (coz 1 module this sem)... Or maybe its because i am more relaxed? coz dun have to work and study at the same time... Anyway, I'll know when i get back to work..

I seems to be forgetting a lot of stuffs taught by Dr Ramsay.... furthermore, i'm used to being spoon fed. haha~ thats a very bad attitude to have in a student. And of course, I'll try my best to change... my aim is to get good grades!

Usually if I am working tmr, I will be way asleep.. deep in my dreams.. however, right now, i just finished creating my 2nd template skin. Chicken little is very cute~~ I like the dancing one on the right hand side.

Alright.. heard from Vic that today the lab was like a madhouse. heh. He said that he will describe the scenerio to me when i'm back. hm.. i wonder if they made any mistakes? haha~ anyway, i dun need to worry much.. i'll know when i get back to the office.

For now... i think i better turn in... maybe accompany mum to go NUH tmr. good night!

Resting at home

I'm worried about my work. 4 days mc was given to me.. i should be happy right? but then there's really a lot of things to be handled.. i want to go back today and clear some things.. but then my supervisor doesnt want me to go around infecting others. hee~ ya loh. thats true also. All i can do now is hope that i wont forget anything thats supposed to be passed to them.. and also hope that they wont miss out anything that i ask them to do. Chicken pox.. i wonder if they come on the right timing or not..

Good things and bad things balances.

Good thing - There. here is my purple gold ring i mentioned. well, the picture is a bit blur.. but aga aga can see lah.

Bad thing - I noticed small red spots appearing on my body over the past few days.. they got really itche and hence i went to a doc today. guess what, I got CHICKEN POX! A little good thing is that.. i got myself vaccinated about 5 years ago.. hence mine is not a full blown case. No fever, no other symptoms except red itche spots. He wanted to give me MC.. but i was thinking i got a lot of work to do and I am fine, just the itch. hence, i was given a cream to apply, some anti-itch pills and was also told not to go too close to pregnant women and babies, get more rest/sleep and drink lots of water.

First.

I got my first purple gold ring!! I bought it myself yesterday. my first jewellery. =) It's a heart shape ring with a very very small diamond etch on. =) after 40% discount, I got it about 376 bucks. Nice nice. Will put up a picture soon.

Great Lunchie~~

Had my lunch at Great World City's Crystal Jade Restaurant. Steve's treat. hee~ He said he missed Hilary's farewell the other day.. so he want to make it up. So nice of him. That's what makes him different from the rest of the ppl.. he's generous and thoughtful.. quite a gentlemen too =)

We did not order much.. and he seems to eat only a little.. (but we are really full) Maybe he's shy in front of us? Young girls? heehee~ In the end, we still cant finish the food. gotta pack back.. hee~

Memories...so nice... so nostalgic

As I laid back on my bed.. I plugged in my earphones and started listening to the songs in my MP3 player... my room was dark.. slowly, i drifted away.. into my own thoughts.. I started to remember the days when I was a kid..

It was a rainy day... dad told me to remain at the place and wait for him to come back. I can see him running into the rain, across the street.... minutes later, he's back with a brand new umbrella. He carried me up and walked home together.

I was playful. I refused to get up from the bathtub when mum wanted to add in more hot water for us to bath.. I scald myself from the boiling water.. I can still remember how mum carried me and rushed me to the hospital...

It was my first movie. The Lion King.. Sis brought me there. It was her treat using her savings. I enjoyed myself. I love the movie. I bought the soundtrack after that and we had a sing-a-long session.

First time working together in Disney with brother. I had fun. Bro was afraid that I may make mistakes and so he was strict at me. I can understand. He has always been looking out for me since i was a kid.

Those mentioned above are only a small part of my memory. Even though there were days when we suffered, days when we are not happy.. but as long as I am with my family, those memories... gave me the strength to carry on. I love them. If there is next life, I still want to be together with dad, mum, bro and sis.

I want to go home

So boring.. so tired.. so sleepy... i think i need a cuppa coffee from the staff lounge after this post. Half cup will do.. since i'm not a coffee lover.. just need a little to keep myself awake.

It's friday today.. the sky is dark and gloomy... how i wish that i am at home, either lying on my bed or watching my animes. heh. I'll be starting my lessons next week liao. Cannot play play anymore... i think i will need more coffee then. my timepoint for sleeping is 10pm remember? haha~

Nothing interesting so far. it's been some time since i last saw Joann. Time to call her up n fix an "appointment" with her since she's so busy nowadays. heh.

Middle of the Week

Ok. I managed to survive to the middle of this week. hee~ it's soooo boring that i cant find anything to do. Lucky today got outpatient PK.. hence first half of the day was easier to get over.

Monday

A lot of pple are not around today...

There's a heavy rain this morning... although i had my umbrella with me, I was still drenched from head to toe.. the wind was too strong liao. My hair was wet.. my pants were soaked.. so uncomfortable working in this way.. I can change into the subject's pants.. but then i chose not to.. so strange. haha.

Heard that Vi was in the hospital due to a dog bite. Get well soon. I miss you. Hope that owner will be dealt with. hmph!! irresponsible.

Resting at home

Resting at home today.. eat and sleep, watched anime and then eat again. For today, I felt fat. But then it's been a while since i got the chance to rest at home.. and didnt meet boyfriend. heh. Totally a day to myself.. =)

Feel like giving up.. but... yet, not giving up so soon.

I had a tough day today. Tried to keep myself calm this morning... 2 protocols running at the same time with only 1 me. you think i'm superwoman? well, tell ya, I'm not.

Relax

Hm.. today is a good day... there's work for me to do and there's also time for me to rest. Hee~

Tmr will be day 7... a day with lots of samples again.. sigh~ hope that we can manage well and nothing will happen again... ( like change in processes or overlooked something)

Alright, I'm now at home.... relaxing once again.. maybe i'll go and collect my student pass tmr... deadline is this week.

Home alone, Long post.

Sunday morning.... I'm all alone at home... Sis and Bro went working... mum went for a 1 day tour in Malaysia.. and dad... i dunno where he went..

Yesterday we met up at caught a movie together.. we watched Skeleton Key... It's ok ok... but definitely not a very fantastic show.. so unless if you are really free, then you may want to consider watching it. After the show, we went for the pepper lunch together. I ate pepper beef rice... Actually it tasted good.. however there's too much butter (making the rice a bit too salty) and there's too much meat... (coz I'm more a herbivore) But generally, I still like the place. Hee~ will go again and try another dish sometime =)

We went home at around 9 plus.. we went individual ways because Vi and Na took a bus, Jan and me took opp directions of the mrt. I got off the mrt and walked towards the exit.. you know, ppl usually walked with arms swinging motion... I thought i accidentally hit the other uncle's hand using my right hand.. so I said sorry to him...

I didnt think much.. just continue walking.. but then after walking for some distance, i felt another hit on my left. I turned around is that uncle!!! This time i seriously think he did it on purpose. I walked very slowly and let him overtake me.. but who knows, he turned over, saw me, pretend, and stopped by a fruit stall.. this time i walked real quickly and over took him... i walked as fast as i can, cross the main road together with the family.. and luckily, he was no where to be found... I'm really scared at tat time...

Dad went crazy again yesterday... mum just said something like "next time i'm not going to work with you on sat and sun".. he got angry and hit the table... after that there's a silence.. He suddenly got up and said "I more i think of what you said, the angrier I am" and he banged the table again. this time he took the tv remote control and threw it on the floor.. and it crashed, splitted into pieces.. yeah~ thats how strong my dad is.. and then he kept shorting and railing until my bro cant stand it.. Just because of a simple sentence my mum said - did he need to do all this? My bro shouted at my dad.. dad said it's none of his business and wanted to hit him.. mum pushed dad away.. he also wanted to chase bro out of the house.. but bro stood still. dad shouted like "i'm going to burn this house down"

What the?? Because you lose money in gambling doesnt need to do this to us right? Why is he always like that? I hate his gambling friend.. I hate my 3rd uncle... it's all because of them that dad went back to heavy gambling EVERYDAY again (he usually gambles..but not to the heavy extend). I hate them for making use of my dad's money.. I HATE THEM!

If I got a wish from angel... It'll be removing my dad's gambling habit...
if I got a wish from a devil, I'll like all his gambling friends to drop dead.

Hmph!

My RPG game had reached the final Amalgam boss and I used about 15-20mins to defeat it. It was a long but quite an easy fight... just as I was watching the rounding up scenes, the game disc hanged!!! I was not able to finish watching the completion and the credits~~ *angry* So disappointed...

Anyway, I'm going to sleep soon... finally can rest til a bit later tmr.. will be getting up at 9am tmr.. got IPL session. After that I am meeting Vi and Na for the movie "Flight Plan". We will also be meeting Janice for dinner tmr. It's been some time since we last met up.

I need to kill 3 hours after my IPL session because I will only be meeting Vi et al at 3pm... I think I'll bring some of my poly notes and find a place for revision (maybe orchard library?).. afterall my course is starting soon and I really need to "restart/reboot" my brain system, maybe defrag? hee~ so that it can include more information and be more organized.

*Yawnz* Good night... I'll enjoy my weekend... coz next week will be hell again.. for those ppl who's reading this, enjoy and have fun for your weekends!

Day 1

There were still some hiccups for today... I wonder what the external lab will respond to my email.. I really hope that there's nothing serious... if not... I cant imagine what will happen...

However, in general.. today is much better... At least I'm able to finish my work and go home at 4.15pm. 15mins extra.. better than yesterday =)

Went IMM with some of the girls today.. bought a facial brush to try out.. *scrub scrub* Mabybe this will leave my face cleaner... and maybe, lesser pimples. =(

I'm working like mad

Sianz....... I'm really really busy at work.. there's too many things to be done... and too many things to oversee... attachment students, the 2 men in the lab... only I, myself is 100% sure of the protocol. I had told them a lot of times to take note of this, to take note of that.. but then they all still ask the same questions... there's only 1 me and there's no way I can manage so many things... so guess what, I need to work OT - about 40mins.

So things arent really that smooth today after all...... I dread tmr.. but still, I have to continue to work.. because if I'm not there.. i dun think they can manage at all... exaggerated? no. I dun think so..

I really hope that there's someone to help me... i just need another one who is 80% sure of whats going on... thats all... but... Sigh~~ i dun think so lah. haha~

Lost

I'm feeling a bit lost today.. wonder if it because Hil isnt around to help me.. or I'm just getting nervous of the protocol that's starting tmr...

Funny/blur things i made today... (Of coz, they were resolved)
*Holding on to the benchsheets, walking around aimlessly and then putting back into the drawer again. Then i realised i actually wanted to get the benchsheets to lay on the biohazard hood..
*Prewriting on the sample transfer form with today's day instead of tmr.
*Brought the collection tubes out to the study room without preloading the 2 additives required.
*Attachment student added wrong additive to the wrong tube and i didnt realise.. (lucky its only 2 tubes).

Now I'm back home.. hope that everything will go on smoothly tmr.. **fingers crossed**

A post dedicated to Hilary

Today is Hilary's last working day.. Today she's busy packing up and handing over her work to me. Although she's busy, she still wants to help me til the very last min.. I'm so touched and I'm so sad...

The next paragraph is my little "speech" I wanted to say to you but cant bring myself to say during your farewell session this afternoon.. (coz my tears were already welling up...)

I've seen many pple come and go... but this is the first time i felt so deeply affected... you have been working hand in hand with me for the past 1 year... even though you are my mentee, you had also taught me a lot of things... You were my best working partner as a CRT ever since you started work as an EDB attachment employee. Of course, besides work, you are my best friend too. You are diligent, kind, sweet, blur, helpful, responsible and sometimes, funny. We shared problems at work, talked about personal experiences, bought tidbits and snacks together, shared laughter & tears (today) and even, cracked lame jokes together... having you around is fun.. I can always hear your laughter... and, the munching sound from your snacks... I hope that we can still do the same (like sharing experiences and laughter). Remember to keep in contact!

There are so many things I want to say to you.. but then some words just cannot be expressed into words. I think you understand how this feels too.

I'll definitely miss you.. but I also know that we have to part someday too... hence I want to wish you good luck in finding a new job, all the best in your new job and good grades for your studies. Hope to see you around in the campus when my course in PSB starts too. Take care.

Went shopping yesterday and got myself a long skirt... yup.. long skirt. heee~ some of you who have known me for many years will know that i dun like to wear skirt... but this time round, I'm wearing it for my dear's birthday.. I wonder how I will look on that day.. weird? Not the usual me? I'm not sure.. but i'm excited... hee~ will try to take a picture of myself if I remember.. hee~

Will be going for a korean bbq steamboat somewhere in cityhall this wednesday. will be celebrating Liyi's birthday~~ hm.. seems like there's a lot of pple born in Oct... every year this month I'll definitely be broke... pressies, celebrations...

Late for work~

I tried out some new alarm feature yesterday on my handphone... today I was suppose to start work at 7am... and I actually woke up at 6.50am. My first reaction was.. how come the alarm clock didnt sound off? Then I quickly give a call to the office to tell them I will be late.

I had a quick shower, brush teeth and drank my milo.. I was all ready in 10 mins!!! wow~ I never realised that i can be that fast. heh. It was drizzling this morning and the ground was wet.. I was walking a bit faster today, and I nearly slipped and fall for a number of times.. lucky there's not many, or no one was around.. or esle... so malu.. hehe~

Anyway, I reached office about 7.30am.. phew.. I was not late for the study conduct. I went back to check my handphone alarm and realised that I'd wrongly use the new alarm feature.. hm.. guess that I wont try that new alarm tonight again. Just in case.

Movie..... marathon?

It's been sometime since I last caught a movie.. hence decided to go for 3 movies over the weekends. All were nice and touching. I watched "Wait til you are older" starred Andy Lau, "Corpse bride" Voice over Johnny Depp and "The Myth" starred Jackie Chan.

I liked to mention something about the movies here.. but I'm not good at keeping it spoiler free.. hence i can only tell you which part of the movie i liked most.

I liked the touching part when Andy Lau and his dad reunited with each other... the part where corpse bride decided to free her human husband-to-be to be with another human bride (oh ya, i also like the soundtrack of corpse bride) and I liked the exaggerated fighting scenes of "the myth"

It's a tired weekend for me.. but definitely an enjoyable one. A fresh new week starts now and I'm going to do some work soon. hee~ Cant be lazy!

Heh~ managed to get another person got hooked on HTML.. It's fun and nice changing templates.. especially when you have nothing to do =)

Now, after teaching and guiding her to do her template... it makes me feel like changing mine as well.

Computer Down

Well, my computer (home) is down since last friday.. Virus attack. Ya, again... bro will try to fix it today.. reformatting..

The orientation on Friday was a short one.. a brief presentation by the pple from UWA.. then some forms filling for pple with exemptions... I saw familiar faces like Yibin(g?) who is taking Genetics, Mingxiang, who is taking Biotech with Lewis et al.. and me taking Pharmaceutical Science... Oh ya, I saw my new colleague from other department too! Gina from the GCDM. Ok, one thing is... my course is starting in Nov 12.. got more time to play and finish my current gaming. heh.

back to studying.

I'm going for my orientation tomorrow... urm.. feeling a bit excited...

My condolences

I choose not to believe when I received this sms from my friend 2 days ago:

" Perry, from Tanglin, has proclaimed dead a few hours ago when he collapsed during a soccer game and went into a series of fits. Let's all pray for him"

I replied my friend:

"Are you sure? Where did you get this info? I'll pray for him"

It's been a day without news.. hence i thought the sms was a hoax...

Today, another friend called me and told me the same news..

This afternoon, one of my colleague said she saw the news saying of a young guy collapsed and passed away during soccer yesterday...

It was shocking... my secondary schoolmate...

He was a goodlooking guy and friendly.. a promising 23 year old young man and a pilot in NS... I dun know him quite well and only talked to him for only a few times... ( although he was in the same prefectorial board as me and during one of those peer leadership camp, he was in the same team as me.) But still, to receive this news about my schoolmate was a little shocking..

For now, I can only pray for him....

Days are really bored when mum's not around in the house.. I wonder if she enjoys herself in Korea.. I think she does.. this is the first time she go overseas.. how i wish that i can be with her.. I think sis will take care of her over there...

Sat and Sun updates.

Saturday was the Alumni dinner for NP biotech pple.. I think we are the youngest group there... graduated in 2003.. Initially I thought there will have a lot of pple from our batch.. but then when i was there.. there were only a total of 12. Anyway, we did had some time catching up.. So it's not that bad afterall.. The food was so so only. not that fantastic...maybe next time when they are having alumni dinner, I can recommend some good ones for Dr chang. =)

Yesterday was my Sis graduation day. Bachelor of Science in Business Studies i think. It was held at Shangri-la hotel. I was the camera woman yesterday.. Taking pics from her registering and getting her seat number, robing, all the way til the end. I was quite happy to be the camera woman... Coz I like to take pictures. hee~ I bet she'll be glad that i took so much pictures for her.. Once in a lifetime mah.. unless she wants to continue studying? heh. I dun think so. she'll be preparing for her marriage....

This week will be another busy week for me... and i think busy is good. will update again. ta.

Pickpocketers pickpocketing.

KK called me yesterday and told me his phone was pickpocketed. Apparently, he said that the pickpocter put his hand into his pocket and pickpocket. I was wondering, how come leh? Well, he said that he lost it when walking back to his hotel.. and there's a lot of pple there.. then when he came to realise, it's gone. So suay right? That time he was lucky to get back his handphone.. I told him to back up the details inside his handphone and he didnt!! now, see... he's contacts are really gone.. this time round i dun think he can get it back.. KL leh~ there's a lot of pickpocketers around.. I wonder where pickpocketers learn their pickpocketing skills...
